You Would Never Know

You watched me,
Through eyes filled
With revulsion.

Yet not so long ago,
Did you not worship me?
Your friend and mentor.

You accused me,
Remorseless murderer
Of hapless innocents.

Yet have you ever wonder
Who stained these hands?
Made me who I am.

You attacked me,
Seeking my life
Without regret.

Yet did you imagine
That you could hurt me?
Your teacher in the sword.

You fell before me,
Beaten, defeated,
Dying.

Yet did you foresee
I would end your life?
Without any hesitation.

Go then,
Find a place to die,
For you would never know.
