chapter 11 ¨C fianc¨¦?
F4 and SC was looking at one another in disbelief, the tension in the air is unmistakable. Barbie was looking at TZ with questioning eyes, whereas TZ just sigh in defeat. FCY was beaming obviously very pleased with her announcement, SW was looking at XY nervously mouthing to her that he knew nothing beforehand.
After what seems like eternity, when F4 and SC had fully digested and absorbed in the shocking news they turned to look at XY hoping to see her is a distraught manner. SC was looking at XY in fear that she might break down, F4 was looking between XM and XY for any signs of emotions shown. They found XM frowning upon the news, but XY was expressionless. No one knew what she was thinking about, not even TZ or Barbie had any idea of what¡¯s she up to. SC found herself in a dilemma not knowing what to do, ¡®just what is she thinking about?¡¯ she thought looking at XY nervously. However, no one was prepared for XY actions.
XY took a deep breath, look up to her mother who¡¯s smiling down at her. F4 and SC held their breath in as if waiting for XY to object to her mother, they found themselves stood root to the ground as XY headed towards her mother. Everyone was expecting to see her in anger, but to their utter disbelief they found XY smiling up at her mother. Without waiting for any instructions, she moved herself to stand right next to SW. ¡®what¡¯s she trying to do?¡¯ this thought is traveling between SC and XM mind. SC and F4 shot her a bewilder look, but XY had obviously ignored them. She said nothing but smile at them, assuring them that nothing will happen. Kindly excusing herself from her mom presence, she headed down the hall to the balcony signaling for SW to followed her.
As they moved towards the balcony, silence engulfed them¡ for ages no one spoke until they reach the balcony where it¡¯s deprived from all the emotions that they began to speak.
¡°Hi, it¡¯s been a long time since I last met you. So how¡¯re you doing?¡± XY asked politely.
¡°I¡¯m fine¡ but gong zhu (princess), I swear that I didn¡¯t knew about this beforehand. Honest! I had no idea why until just now what aunt said. I¡¯m not going to force you to marry me or anything, you¡¯re given the freedom to choose who you want to be with. I really don¡¯t mind, even though I truly hope that you would stay with me. But I do know that such things are not be forced.¡± SW told XY as he look into her eyes.
¡°never mind, it¡¯s okay¡ I already knew mom had handpicked a husband for me. I¡¯ve never expected my husband to be to be you though. However, I¡¯m really glad that they choose you.¡± XY said.
¡°Huh? What do you mean?¡± SW asked puzzled.
¡°I¡¯m glad in such a way that I does not have to ruin this party by defying my mom¡¯s order, cause¡¯ I know you too well. I know that you would not force nor rush me into things. I¡¯ve always been aware of your feelings for me, but serious to say that I¡¯m sorry. I don¡¯t think I could accept your love for me though.¡± XY told SW apologetically.
¡°Never mind, I know that. That¡¯s why I¡¯m not going to force you, whatever your decision is¡ I¡¯m supporting it. However, I hope that you will break this engagement off gently by speaking to your mom and try to let her understand your decision rather than been harsh to her, but I think you¡¯ll handle it better than I am since I figured that with TZ helping you, it should be a no problem at all.¡± SW assured XY.
¡°yeah¡ I will find a chance to speak to her though. But I¡¯ll do whatever she wants me to do in the meantime until I figured out how to go about it. I might promise to do what she wants me to if she granted me the freedom to choose who I really wants to be with.¡± XY told SW ¡°well, it¡¯s getting cold. I think we¡¯d better headed back in, if not they would throw a fit.¡±
Together they walked back to the party smiling at each other. TZ and Barbie does not find it strange in fact the whole of party gang was enjoying every bit of themselves with the exception of F4 and SC as they were looking at XY curiously with regards to how¡¯s she reacting to the news.
¡°I can¡¯t believe that she¡¯s taking this so calmly, I mean if it was to happen to me¡ I would most probably erupted. How could she still chat and laugh together with that fianc¨¦ of hers. They look so happy together, I wondered if XY like that chap.¡± SC said, not aware of the fact that she¡¯d spoken out her thoughts loud enough for F4 to hear.
Hearing what SC said, Lei just pretends to be dozing off¡ whereas DMS just shrugged at MZ, who in turn, looking at XM for any signs of anger. XM knowing everyone was waiting to see his reaction pull on his usual cool mask by heading over to joke and tease the girls available at the party. MZ and SC was stunned by his actions, ¡®how could he still behave as nothing happen¡¡¯ they thought and as if to make things worst, XY had seen everything as she was with YS gang chatting in one corner. Although she is upset by the sight, but being around others she kept her feelings masked. She continued to joked and chatted around with others as if she did not care about what¡¯s XM is doing. Unknowingly to her, XM was staring in her direction as she flung her arms over SW in an intimate posture. XM could felt jealousy burning inside him, the minute he spotted what XY is doing, and to make thing even more worst¡ SW was fooling around with XY, by then XM could barely keep himself from rushing over to punch SW.
SW and XY meanwhile was still engrossed in their own world not noticing XM who had went off by himself without any notice to F3 and SC.
