08:14 a.m. - United Airlines flight #175 also flying from Boston to Los Angeles departs from Logan International Airport.
8:20 a.m. - American Airlines flight #77 departs Dulles International Airport with Los Angeles as its final destination.
8:40 a.m. - FAA notifies North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) that flight #11 has been hijacked.
8:42 a.m. - United Airlines flight #93 flying from Newark, New Jersey to San Francisco, California takes off.
8:43 a.m. - FAA notifies NORAD that flight #175 was also hijacked.
8:45 a.m. - American Airlines flight #11 crashes into the north tower of the World Trade Center.
8:46 a.m. - Military sends fighters from the Otis Air National Guard Base in Fallmouth, Massachusetts.
9:02 a.m. - United Airlines flight #175 crashes into the south tower of the World Trade Center.
9:24 a.m. - FAA notifies NORAD that American Flight #77 was hijacked.
9:35 a.m. - NORAD sends two F-16 fighters from Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.
9:38 a.m. - American Airlines flight #77 slams into the Pentagon.
09:45 a.m. (PST) - A passenger on the United Airlines flight #93 makes a cell phone call to the operator. He reports a hijacking and tells about the plans to jump the hijackers. The plane crashes near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania shortly thereafter.
10:05 a.m. - The south tower collapses, releasing tremendous amounts of debris.
10:10 a.m. - Part of the Pentagon caves in.
10:28 a.m. - The north tower collapses.
