Jackson cleverly fuses elements of science and magic into Patchwork Girl by taking bits and pieces of texts from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and L.Frank Baum’s The Patchwork Girl of Oz and arranging them in a manner never seen before or never deemed possible.
