Dripping Rocks to Paul C. Wolfe Shelter.
Caught a shuttle at 9:30am to Dripping Rocks Parking lot.  We started hiking at 10:05am for a 10 mile hike to Paul Wolfe Shelter
Trail was duff covered and easy hiking for the first couple of miles and the same at the end towards the shelter.  The in between was rocks, rock steps, log steps with broken rocks in between, and huge boulders we had to climb, hike between or go over the top.
The views from the rock ledges were clear looking down into the valley and to the distant mountains.  The boulders were gray-white covered with mosses, laurels, rhododendrons, ferns, rock cress, columbines and wild geraniums.  The trail on the ledges were also very narrow and dangerous.  It took us most of the day to hike the rocky sections.  Easy hiking switchbacks with occasional rocks led us to the creek crossing at the shelter.  Arrived at the Wolfe Shelter approximately 5:))pm tired from such a rocky trail, ready to eat and go to bed.
Happy Father's Day to all my friends and Happy Anniversary to my husband.
