Multiplication #1

This week’s question is: “No Math” Max was often coming home and telling his parents, “I have no math!” Unfortunately for “No Math” Max, this was often not true. In class, his teacher has a classroom monetary system set up so that whenever homework is incomplete the student owes the teacher $10. This is where “No Math” Max comes in! He is trying to figure out how much he owes his teacher. This is the information he has so far…It is now October 24. He had an assignment due on October 2. He had another assignment due on October 10. His third assignment was due on October 17. All three are now obviously late. If “No Math” Max’s teacher is charging him $10 for every day (including weekends!) that each assignment is late…how much does “No Math” Max owe his teacher? HINT: THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE BROKEN INTO 4 PARTS.
