Allie Caulfield

On July 18, 1946, 11 year old Allie Caulfield died of leukemia in Maine. He was the younger brother, by two years, of Holden Caulfield. He had flaming red hair and was known as "terrifically intelligent." He was a nice kid, who never got mad at anybody.

Allie was a baseball player. One of his prized possesion was his baseball mit, which he had written poems all over in green ink. When asked why he did that, he said so he would have something to read when he was out in the field.

Allie will be missed by his teachers, friends, and family.
