You want a story about love? Alright. I'll give you one. It's kinda long, so bear with me, alright? Once upon a time, there was this girl, see? Her name was Kitty. Her parents were from Ireland and came to America so's they could live a better life. They weren't too sharp, though, and they settled in a real shitty part of town called "Hell's Kitchen." Like a name like that ain't a dead give away, right? So, they had a buncha kids, including Kitty, and they all grew up and went out inta the world. Now, this was the 1920's, so there weren't too many options for Kitty. She could get married and start pumping out kids, or she could work in the typing pool and live with her parents and pay 'em rent and lead a pointless, rattling life. Well, those were the respectable options, anyway. Kitty went out and she met this guy named Charles Dion O'Bannion. He was Irish-American, like her, and his dad was a plasterer like hers was. They hit it off right away. He was Deanie O'Bannion and he was a Mobster. Kitty didn't care. He was hers, and that's all that mattered. She was his Moll and they went places together and had a real good time. Then Deanie met this bird named "Violla." She was young and pretty enough, though she kind of looked like a cow. Deanie fell in love with her and they got married. Kitty told him off and cut off her hair and marcelled it and started hanging out with other Gangsters. You stick with what ya know, ya know? After awhile, Deanie's little marital bliss side of life wasn't enough any more, and he looked Kitty up again. He had two sides, like a lot of people. Only one of his sides tended a flower shop and brought home beautiful arrangements he made himself to his cow-like wife and listened to the radio and ate fish on Fridays. The other side used the Flower Shop as a front and sold illegal liquor and killed people who got in his way and fucked a woman he wasn't married to. Violla never knew about Kitty. She believed Deanie when he told her where he was going, never thinking that a man who had no compunctions about killin' people would also have no compunctions 'bout lyin' to her. You believe what you gotta believe, I guess. Anyway, Kitty and Deanie got back together and she got pregnant. This was the 1920's... it was inevitable. He and Violla had been married for awhile, and hadn't had any kids and he wanted kids. So he and Kitty decided that she'd go off someplace and have the kid and he'd adopt it and nobody'd ever know she was pregnant. Easily handled, right? Everything looked like it was going real good. Then one day Kitty went to Deanie's flower shop. She was looking at the roses when the bell over the door jingled and three men walked in. Deanie walked out and shook hands with one of them. While his gun hand was occupied, the three men opened fire. Deanie was reduced to shreds of meat and splinters of bone and a great pool of blood. The men fired wide, and Kitty was hit in the neck, chest, and shoulder. Despite her wounds and the blood draining with her life from her body, she managed to get over to Deanie's body. She pulled out his gun and fired at his assailants. She managed to squeeze out a few shots before falling lifeless over his dead body. When Kitty woke up she was in the hospital, a man standing over her. It was night, the white room wreathed in blue shadow. He held something to her cold lips, something wet and sticky, and reflexively she drank, dimly aware of a great pain all through her throat. She vaguelly recognized him as Slim Kelly, a rival gangster. When next she woke, it was to night ever after. Slim Kelly was a Vampire, a Brujah, and he'd been on the look out for a childe for a while. He'd heard about Kitty attacking her assailants while bleeding to death, and he was impressed by that kind of hard core action. So he made her his own. |
Kitty eventually changed her name to Magdeline. After Slim released her, she started a brothel with the Everly Sisters. With 80 years of experience under her belt, Magdeline now has a chain of Escort Services across America. Her girls are all very beautiful, very intellegent, and very expensive. At first glance a cross between Toreador and Ventrue, Magdeline is elegant and charming and runs a very real business. Those who've angered her, however, realize she's entirely Brujah.
Magdeline is average height, curvy, with thick wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She tends to wear high collars and long sleeves to hide the bullit scars. She wears high heels and skirts and smokes french cigarettes that she keeps in a silver cigarette case. She has a silver zippo with a rose engraved on it...a gift from a former paramour.
