Its long awaited arrival has come. The engineer was up this evening to teach us how to use it properly. The machine is fast and easy and much quieter than we expected. It does take a little longer to clean up but milking the cows takes half the time.
The milk machine, farm and woodshop all run off of a big 25Kw diesel generator. It takes up the same amount of floor space as a medium sized couch and is about 4 feet tall. That is my son James standing in front of it. Our is really well sound insulated so it is nice and quiet. This has the drawback of making it easy to forget it is running.
