Lots of new pictures today. We had another calf today but unfortunately it is a another male. The kids all had fun getting up close and watching him get his first meal.
After the calf was put back in the pen the kids headed off to play. Our farm manager's wife usually spends part of the day at the field with her kids. She usually cooks lunch and keeps the place tiddy. The oldest son (about 14 years old) helps his dad, and the two little ones (7 and 5) play with our kids and all have a great time together. They spend the afternoon catching tadpoles at the waterhole, playing baseball, or exploring.
The kids are still too young for chores but James loves to help. Today he decided he was going to help clean the milking parlor. He did a good job for a 2 1/2 yearold but I wondered what child labor laws I was violating.
