Golden eyes rolled towards him and away from the floor as Nairne took in his words; thin lips pressed tightly into a line. So far she did not think at all highly of Derekein and Casandrias's bonds. Both reminded her intensely of the plight with the Kirintor since they, too, had multiple heads. Derekein's bond, as well, she had sensed Dysiniu blood in -- blood that had been twisted into a planar undead.
"Congratulations your majesty." She could only hope that his bond was somewhat more palatable, otherwise her job may quickly become unbearable. There were many Dysiniu who had been known to have bouts of madness when around too many dead beings or too much death at once, and added factors of different concerns only made matters worse. "But what does this have to do with Danaus and myself?" "As I am leaving," casually continued the lich, "Danaus will be in command during my absence." Nairne just managed to conceal a snort at this idea. "Derekein and Casandrias must be tended at all times; I'm sure you know they are not to be trusted." As if Danaus would keep things properly in order in the face of two powerful dragons, much less at all; but Nairne supposed he would do things to Terohon's satisfaction. It was obvious who was in charge of who. Unless his allies turned in which case it thinned her own worries. There was still a thorn in her side with this news, though. "And what of me, Lord?" He smiled, a look that would make the majority of the living cringe at the sight of his pointed teeth. "I would like you to accompany me, Nairne. When venturing into a strange place it is best to keep knowledgable help about. Especially in the area of attaining knowledge." The Dysiniu quirked an eyebrow at him, her head tilted to one side. Could you possibly be serious? Wishing her to play...bodyguard to him? Either she was a better actress than she had thought, or he had somehow found her out and was plotting something against her? Despite all her suspicions, it was the idea of not knowing what was going on in Kvria and not being able to report to her Queen that made her dislike the idea. "Are you sure about that, Lord?" "Quite sure," he replied with a nod. "In fact, I think it would help us greatly if you bonded as well. Have to bolster our ranks, after all, if we plan to achieve our objective." Danaus snickered to Nairne's side, and she didn't doubt the fact that it was because her posture had stiffened and her fists were clenched at her sides. Apparently he knew the Dysiniu view on such things! "Your highness..." Nairne began slowly, her voice forcibly even. "My kind only bonds as part of our life-mating ceremonies, as I would think you would know. I would...really rather not bond some strange species of dragon." His eyes were on her, and she didn't dare meet his gaze, instead staring down at that troublesom rug again. "That is strange of you, Nairne...I have never heard you speak of the honor of your race before," his voice said, thoughtful but hard. "Nonetheless...you are still a part of the Underworld, and I am fairly certain you will do what I think is best, is that correct?" "Yes, my liege..." Nairne gritted through clenched teeth.
