Updating done for now...

All right, I didn't get everything done that I wanted to, but I did add all the stuff I promised (minus one item from Lobalbo - I need to work out some technical issues).

To note, a new author has joined us (Jen Walters), and her first chapter has been posted, entitled "The Curse of the She-Hulk". Lonebeatle has also added chapter 5 to his story list. Finally, there has been more work submitted by Rowan, Unzipped, Yitzhak.

A note about Tom Burgos's section: I'm in the process of moving the SH images here, but a lot of it has been put on hold. I'm working on a separate web page system for all of Tom's stuff, which will involve re-cataloging all of his images. The main goal is to lighten the load of images crammed into that club, and therefore leave more room for his non-She Hulk related art. Some of the fans, and Mr. Burgos himself have been a big help in helping me gather all of his images.

So in the meantime, enjoy the rest of the update. Meanwhile, I will be tweaking some background coding issues on the site.

And the uploading continues...

OK, I admit it: it's taken a LOT longer than expected, but hey - you try and manage a few hundred images across 6 web accounts and get them to link up with several hundred pages! :)

Most of the site should be available now (all images that were posted around 3/1). I STILL have to add the stories and other images I promised, but that will have to wait until at least Monday (I will be having company the whole weekend). At the very least, I wanted to get the main site up and running again to hold you over until the rest of the update.

Still uploading, but Marvel section is available...

It took a bit longer than expected to get the Marvel section tweaked, but is should work now. I've temporarily activated part of the site, to give you guys something to look at while I track down a password for one my web accounts (that's where the majority of artwork is stored).

Uploading revised site...

I'm beginning the upload of the new site. Most of the time is being spent on placing the images in the appropriate directory or web account. Please be patient while I go through this lengthy process.

As stated before, here is a quick review of what will be changed.

• Some code re-design is being done to simplify maintenance and provide more flexibility as to where the images are stored. (Most of this will be invisible to the user).
• More images are being shoved into other archived accounts.
• The styles (colors and fonts) are being made more universal for other browsers. I found a nifty program that shows be cross-compatiblity for styles across many different browsers.
• The Marvel section is getting an upgrade (Savage SH only). This will be the most noticible change on the site. The Marvel re-creations done by other artists will be added in, and a few issue synopsis's. There's more items I wanted added to this section, but my secondary computer (with the scanner) needs to have the system rebuilt (total hard drive crash, but it was over 5 years old). When the scanner is back up I will start added the covers and some additional scans to go along with the synopsis's.

Some of the upload will be done during the day, but most of it will be done at night (as I do have a job). None of the images will be available until the upgrade is complete. This page and the main page will be off-line until then.

The new code upload should go smoothly, but you never know. Any one of a thousand things can go wrong. If some bugs do appear, all I ask is that you be patient while things are smoothed out.

Finally, the additional stuff I promised will be uploaded as well, so don't think I've forgotten that.

A partial (and slightly early) update...

I'm in the middle of re-optimizing the site right now, so I've only added part of the March images to the site for the moment. In no particular order I added pics from Dragonfly, Eegore, and Mr C. I have other pics and stories to upload, but don't have the room at the moment.

What do I mean by re-optimizing?

As promised, here is the update from everyone. We've got a good mix of stuff this month, including...

• Pics from Eegore and Nash. Make sure you check out the Burgos commission Eegore colored. It's awesome!

• Mr C. joins the Poser section of the site, entitled "Appropriate Attire". Welcome aboard!
• Stories from Terry, Eegore, and Lone Beatle.
• And, of course, some photomanips from Rowan. What update wouldn't be complete without them? Check out one of the pics in his "She-Hulks" gallery. He did a great job on the "tattered edges" of her clothes.

Whew! I've done all I can handle for the month. I've uploaded Dragonfly's latest MiniComic and two months work of photomanips by Scurr. I know it wasn't everything I hoped to get up to the site, but at this point I just need a break and focus on the other things in life (like Christmas shopping).

Please note that I've changed the next release date to some day around the first of the year. It's difficult to know when I will be able to upload the pics to the site as I will be having friends and family over for the holidays. As the day approaches, I will try and give you a more specific date.

Hard to believe that almost a full year has gone by! What's even more amazing is that the enthusiasm level is still high and growing. A lot of stuff from Tom Burgos has made it's way over to me. Once again I have to thank Terry, Eddie, Tom, and Eegore for delivering it to me. I had difficulty sorting out the volume of stuff, so I haven't put in all the appropriate credits yet.

In addition to our usual artists and authors, two more artists have joined the ranks: Nash (Fan Artwork section) and Yitzhak (Professional Artists). Welcome aboard! Bio pages will be set up for them by next month.

I wrote the new code balancer for the photomanip section and am in the process of uploading 3 months worth of pics. So far Rowan's stuff has been uploaded (he has a nice, new skin coloring technique down solid now). All three months have been rolled up into December to avoid confusion). Others will be done when I get back on Monday.

A new section called "Poser" has been added to the Navigation Menu. Unzipped has put together some snapshots of a Poser animation he did. I had no idea Poser could do that much detail so make sure you check it out. Welcome back Unzipped! (I have more information to convey on this topic, but it will have to wait until next week)

To everyone else (not mentioned) who have sent me stuff, I'm still going through it all. I didn't get to post everything I wanted to, so it will have to wait until next month. If I haven't responded to you yet, let me know by e-mail. A big thanks goes out to everyone who has contributed this month. Your enthusiasm is inspiring! :)

Happy Pre/Post Halloween! Along with the usual lot of submissions, there are some new things that have been added to the site. Not counting the stuff I added on October 15 (see Prior Announcments for more details), you will be able to find:

1. A new Professional Artist by the name of Tom Burgos has joined the ranks at my site. His popularity has been growing ever since his art was featured on Eddie's message board. Welcome!
2. More detailed information about the Professional Artists who are featured at this site.
3. Contact Info for me
4. My "To Do" list of future projects for the site.
5. Site Statistics, in case people are interested in how much traffic the site gets. Graphs are included

New chapters have been added to the story section of the site, but photomanips have not. This is due, in part, to the on-going problem with GeoCities as well as certain security measures. Rest assured, I'm still working on the problem.

A lot of site related information has been added. The following has been added: FAQ, technical support, new security, and well as enhancements to the Professional Artist section. Plenty of site guidelines have been added as well. This was done to try and answer all the questions I've gotten over the past year. If you have a question, check out the support pages first. I would hate to repeat myself. I realize there may be some typos, or grammatical errors in the new text, and will get to them at a later time. My main goal was to finally get this info posted.

I'm still working out the security for the Story and Photomanip section. These sections are taking longer because they are coded differently from the artwork sections. The next post I do should have the new photomanips and stories in place.

A new set of code has been added to the site, so hopefully everyone will be able to see the new artwork images. Newer ARTWORK will be posted on my account (where the bandwidth is tripled). Be warned that this doesn't guarantee you will see the image.  This site has a fair amount of activity (it averages 100 UNIQUE visitors/day), so I don't know if having 10GB/month bandwidth is enough to solve the problem (free accounts only allow 3 GB/Month).

For your convenience, I've put a label indicating which pieces of artwork are stored in the archives. What does "archived" mean to you? - If enough people access that image within an hour, you may not have access to it for a short period of time. If you get an empty image, try again in 1 hour.

Updates still to come...I STILL have to write code that breaks up the photomanips (and possibly the stories), so there will be continued delay in getting those new works out while I re-tool that section.

The site is still under construction. There are several good reasons why things haven't been completed:

1. I've been working on lengthy documents for technical support, FAQs, and the site/club rules.
2. Geocities recently imposed a download capacity restriction. Only people who pay for their account will have their capacity greatly increased.
3. Marvel is on the warpath, deleting accounts that have Marvel related material. That is why videos and comic scans stop working without warning.

Updates still to come...I have photomanips and two stories to post, but have run out of time to post them. I have to leave town for a few days. I might be able to do them on the road, but most likely I will post them when I get back.
