All I Want For Christmas

I wrote a letter to Santa Claus
it might be the first from someone so old
"Dear Santa, I haven't asked for anything in years
and I hope you don't think I'm being too bold
I don't want any new clothes or shoes
or a nice house to keep out the cold
I don't want food to fill my tummy
or chains and rings of silver and gold...

I want one thing very badly, Santa
and it sure may seem a little funny
it's not a scooter or computer, or bike,
not a cell phone, Play Station 2, or money,
it's not to have a lot of friends around
or to be able to see my mom and brother
not to have stock in Wal-Mart or Microsoft,
IBM, GMC, NBC or any other...

I don't want to live to be a hundred
or travel the world on a private jet,
it's the one thing I want more than anything
which may be the thing I'll never get...

but Santa, this is so very important to me
I can't even explain the longing I feel
so that's why I'm writing to you
disregarding that folks say you're not real...

The one thing I want in the whole wide world
is a man that I love with all my heart
he's tall and handsome, with killer eyes and smile
somehow, some way, I fell apart
and he tumbled out, I lost him
soon after, I went flat with no fizz
so if you find him, waste no time wrapping
he's perfect just the way he is...

I don't have a chimney for you
but I'll leave the door unlocked
I'll go to bed real early
and I won't peek at the clock
milk and cookies will be on the talbe
and since I don't have a tree
I'll leave a lot of room in my bed
just put him under the covers with me...

Santa, if you go to all that trouble for me
I promise you now and on every brand new day
I'll keep him warm and safe from harm
I'll love him forever and he'll never run away...

but if you can't find him and bring him
I'd still like to thank you in advance for tryin'
just leave me a teddy bear to hold on to
because you see, no other man will do...
all I want for Christmas is Brian.
