And I Leave My Footprints

Sea oats wave in the ocean breeze
as the thunder rolls across the sky
the shells wash up on the sand
the gulls swoop down just to say hi
and I leave my footprints

The creek flows silky underneath the bridge
the grass grows slowly thick and green
the flowers sprout upwards from soft earth
the ladybugs sit where they can be seen
and I leave my footprints

Laughter fills the air with smiles
of the hearts of strangers and of friends
as the sun rises and sets above
a cycle of love that never ends
and I leave my footprints.
