DON'T Walk Under The Monkeybars!!! Back when we were kids nothing got in our way, barbed-wire fences or ditches, curfews or slippery pits of clay, interstates with speeding cars, dirt trails or steep jagged ridges, downed trees, monkeybar mountains, wild rapids underneath washed-out bridges... our little minds were full of possibilities, endless, so nothing was beyond our means, we never knew where we were going, all we knew is we had too many dreams, too much to learn to be still for long, too much to do to dare to give in to allow ourselves to see the risk that if we played, we may not win... we settled for no less than chaos, the concept of change was awesome, and from change, we grow up and into adults who take their dreams and toss'em, stopped by only a negative thought, a fear of failure, loss, or pain, afraid of making mistakes, why change if there's nothing significant to gain? Kids go forth with instinct for today instead of waiting for another time for better chances that may not come they march to the beat of a different drum... till they grow into routine rhythm and rhyme, walking under monkeybars they used to climb. |
