Nickolodeon tv game show released in 1993. This show blended history with fun, 6-teams, one girl & one boy would battle agasint eachother to race to the sacred temple, the last team to complete all the temple games would win amazing prizes. In order to get to the temple there was 3 elimantion games. The moat, all 6 teams would find ways to get across this misty poll. The steps of knowledge, Olmec [stone head] would ask a question, the first member of a team to stomp on the stairs would be able to answer. The more correct they were, the closer they would get to the temple. The two teams left would compete head-to-head in three games with themes based on the history of the tresure. Everytime one team would win, they'd receive a half pendant of life which would help them out in the temple if caught by a "temple guard".
The temple was a bunch of different rooms, each had different challenges & puzzles. In one of these rooms there was a special treasure, that they would have to find. 2:00 minutes isn't enough when you don't know where you're going! In 3 of these 12 rooms there was a temple guard, whne you came across one you'd have to give them a pendant of life, if you ran out, its your partners turn! The show was cancelled partically due to the ratings, but is now featured re-runs on "GAS: Games and Sports". |
