As Senior Security Software Consultant/Pre-Sales Systems Engineer/Sales Engineer
- Support Sales team as a technical resource for all of the Security product line.
- Respond to prospect and customer technical questions, Requests for Information(RFI) and Requests for Proposal(RFP) to gain a favorable response as related to the product line.
- Fully Install product line on demo equipment and resolve any encountered problems.
- Create and Present to C Level, Managers and technical staff product line presentations and live product line demonstrations to show the positive benefit and functionality of the product. Presentations made using Powerpoint, Flipchart and dryboard media. Demonstrations made using fully installed software on network connected portable UNIX computers and Windows Laptops.
- Answer in real-time, prospect and customer questions raised by the product presentations and demonstrations.
- Determine and document the prospect requirements, I/S environment and size any requested Proof-of-Concept(POC) to be installed at the prospect site. Proofs-of-Concept are full installations of Product line software(Server and Agents) and hardware at the client site to show functionality using the prospect's data. POCs require Product installation, UNIX scripting, Product configuration, Network Configuration and minor C-Language and TCL programming.
- Act as project manager to plan, manage and document in project plan form the details of Proof-of-Concept. Multiple technical entities from the installing company and prospect company must be included in the implementation project. Prospect expectations must also be managed.
- Act as member of the technical implementation team to accomplish the product installation as described above. Resolve any technical problems that may occur in the installation.
- Provide training to prospects in the use and administration of the installed products.
- Provide any additional support required to further closing the sale.
- Provide support and training for junior consultants and sales staff.
- Provide feedback to marketing and development teams on prospect trends and product desires.
- Resolve customer dissatisfaction , when required, on fully or partially installed products.
- Participate in Trade Shows to demonstrate and discuss the product line with show attendees.
