OK, so it was only one more request. Here's a little background history of how Deb U got started.

Deb U began over the summer of 1996 on the HTLJ. It was started by Nanaea and Astraea, being bored with reruns started up the fictional university in a round robin writing style. Psamanthe was one of the first students. Hebea came on board to round out the chancellors. I joined the HTLJ forum in October of 96. I believe Calee beat me there. I think she started in June or July. So I believe that would make Calee the longest poster of Deb U.

When the new season started in the Fall of 96 the activities of Deb U began to diminish, but never quite went away. It gradually picked up more and more members as time went on. Towards the end of 97 there began to be more and more tension between the Non-Deb U members and the Deb U members on the HTLJ forum. The debates at times were heated and there were a lot of hurt feelings in the process. It was suggested that Deb U take over the SSR forum, so that the members would no longer bother the rest of the HTLJ forum.

Very few records of the original start up of Deb U exist. Most being lost in the big Delete that Universal executed shortly after Deb U took up residence on the SSR forum. Most of the Archives were set up on Ceallachs pages. She couldn't do the coding herself and asked for volunteers. Calee volunteered and set up the Deb U website, which she eventually moved to her own website, and expanded at her own expense.

Many of the original members and positions that are listed on the website are from that first summer and the ML's Asty and Nan belonged to.

Hope that answers your questions.
