Radiohead [1995]
Date Venue Setlist
August 18, 1995 MTV UK
London, England
1. Just (3:32)
2. Nobody Does It Better (3:29)
I surfed all over trying to figure out the exact date of these. The consensus seems to be that it's from an MTV UK appearence in August or July of 1995. "Just" has some cool background vocals and lead guitar licks. I seem to like this song more and more every time I hear it. "Nobody Does It Better" is a Carly Simon song, that was the theme to a James Bond movie. Here, it's basically a showcase for Thom Yorke's brilliant voice. I got these as part of the "Ground Control To Major Thom" bootleg.[One disc; Complete set; tv broadcast]

13. Just (3:59)
14. Blow Out (5:50)
15. Fake Plastic Trees (4:54)
A strong Radiohead performance. While the back of my cd ("DATA COMPLETE") says it is a soundboard, I belive it's an audience recording. A very nice, atmospheric audience recording. Highlights are an amazing "Bullet Proof..I Wish I Was", an early "Lucky", and "Fake Plastic Trees". [One disc; Complete set; audience recording;]

1. No Surprises (3:48)
2. Talk Show Host (5:13)
3. Climbing Up The Walls (4:18)
4. Exit Music (For A Film) (4:32)
One of those cool British radio sessions, where the band gets to add overdubs and stuff to the tracks. I was never sure the point. These aren't drastically different, but they're interesting enough. "Talk Show Host" is the highlight here. Thom's vocals on "Climbing Up The Walls" are brilliant. I got these from the "Ground Control to Major Thom" bootleg. Note: "Paranoid Android" is missing![One disc; incomplete set; excellent radio broadcast]

13. Exit Music (For A Film)** (4:40)
14. Paranoid Android** (6:13)
15. Climbing Up the Walls** (4:23)
Dare I say the sound here is a ten (10)? I might. The back of the cd says it was broadcast on the radio, which would explain it. All the instruments are perfectly clear, Thom Yorke is front and center, the performance is spirited and hot, the setlist is great. Mmm. The highlights are many: a brilliant "Lucky", the most gorgeous "Exit Music" ever, and a super "Talk Show Host". The last three tracks are "OK Computer" outtakes. I don't know the whole story about them, but they're neat too.[One disc; Complete set; radio broadcast; **studio outtakes]

7. Bones (3:15)
8. Paranoid Android (7:00)
9. Fake Plastic Trees (5:00)
10. Street Spirit (Fade Out) (4:45)
Radiohead's famous performance broadcast on MTV at the great height of "OK Computer" madness. This is incomplete! I got these from the bootleg called "Ground Control To Major Thom", which includes these 10 songs, and the May 1997 Evening Session and some 1995 MTV UK songs. Whether or not more songs were broadcast on MTV and are available in such high quality, I don't know. There was definitely about 8 other songs played that night though. The sound quality is incredible. Highlights are the three-guitar attack on "Subterranean Homesick Alien", a bassy "My Iron Lung", and "Fake Plastic Trees".[One disc; incomplete set; tv broadcast;]

A very good Radiohead show. The sound isn't the greatest you'll ever hear, but it's certainly not a problem. Don't worry about that. The concert is a beautiful one, especially the setlist -- 4 unreleased songs (until "Amnesiac"), and a couple of rare ones. The highlights are "Everything In Its Right Place", "Bishop's Robes", "(Nice Dream)", and "Exit Music". [Two discs; Complete set; audience recording]

A terrific bootleg; so far the best 2000 show I've heard. The sound quality is nice and full; I believe it to be an audience recording. The performance is pretty awesome, especially towards the end. Thom Yorke has fun introducing all the songs as being brought to you by big corporations - Microsoft, Ford, Sony, Pizza Pizza, etc. Highlights tonight are a superb combo of "Optimistic" followed by "Lucky", a groovy "Dollars and Cents", and my new favorite song "Follow Me Around".[Two discs; Complete set; audience recording]
