These liner notes are here to help the listener appreciate what they are listening to a little more. Enjoy! Upon beginning this project, I discovered that somebody else has already done it, sort of. It's not about this 11-disc box set exactly, but is about Led Zeppelin outtakes in general. It rocks! Check it out. I think both that site and this one can be used together quite well.The times listed may not be perfectly precise, but they're damned close. I tried to match take numbers with those published in Luis Rey's book "LED ZEPPELIN LIVE". Sometimes I didn't quite correlate exactly though. I'd like to learn more about what available outtakes are missing from this collection too. Sometimes it got difficult to recognize a riff or rhythm, so let me know if I missed something. I was also running out of ways to describe one acoustic guitar strumming, but I tried! Suggestions, comments, corrections, additions, deletions, monetary or bootleg compensation are all welcome!
PS. Within a day of putting this up, I had three emails asking me where they could get this cd set. I have no idea. I can't help you. Sorry. This is how I got my copy.
