Part II-[ Shawman + Truthers ]
Amongst another feeling, a feeling that Shawman had not sensed for a very long time. With that Shawman took off back to thunderhead. The dust still falling.
Shawman’s black coat glistened with the newly falling snow that embraced the mountain called Thunderhead. It’s snowcap peak hidden behind clouds of silky white bliss. At the top he stood idle. His eyes fixed out over the edge of the mighty mountain and off into a distant space. Behind him rocks clattered and a delicate frame appeared. T’was Gaia. Her brown-red pelt softly covered in snow, her eyes fixed on her mate.
What’s wrong…
Her voice was soft and caring, filled with concern and love for the male that stood in front of her.
Can’t you feel it.
His voice had an edge to it and his muscles tensed under his thick, onyx pelt. Gaia shuttered behind him, his words were cold… colder then he ever spoke to her. Shawman turned upon feeling her presence slink back. His eyes softened and his muscles relaxed, shaking his head.
Forgive me Gaia, it must be this wind. Winter has never come so sudden before.
His cool tone come back and his brow untensed, smiling coming to his lips. Gaia sighed and trotted to his side, Shawman easily doubling his mate’s delicate yet toned form. Gaia appeared young, almost of a child’s youthfulness, but her eyes shown her wisdom and her maturity.
Tis’ alright, I was merely startled. I foolish thing I’m afraid. But please don’t worry yourself… it seems you already have things to ponder on.
A glow came from the smile on Gaia’s features and it made Shawman feel a little more at ease about the far-off feeling he’d felt at the fight earlier.
Do you feel? I don’t know how you couldn’t. They’re there and they’re ready, waiting, and planning. Why I believe the first minion was killed today! Light Gaia they’ve never come so quick.
Shawman’s voice shook and Gaia stayed close to him, hiding her face in his shoulder as a harsh wind whipped by them. She felt it to…and he didn’t need to hear her say it.
Behind them two other forms appeared. One of a broad, muscled wolf with a youthful glow much like Gaia. He had a sleek frame and a dark pelt with a reddish tint to it. Another came along side him. Her frame was petite but she was toned. Her silver pelt brought out by the misty haze about them. Gaia turned and so did Shawman. The male spoke.
Sister, you called and I answered, he turned to look at the she-wolf at his side. And I brought Zinc with me.
Shawman nodded at Rawfyel and Gaia smiled
Thank you brother. Gaia stepped away from Shawman as he followed her with his eyes.
You all know why were here…
Shawman eyed them all as he turned to face them from his spot along the edge. His eyes were firm and he was tense and prepared, although his mind seemed a jumbled mix of emotions and ideas. The others in front of him stood firm and intent. They to were ready.
Part IV-[ Legato’s death + Quarrels]
The four boulders lay idle on the Valcon Steps. Their cold features illuminating the cold, winter air ‘round them. Three lay in a triangular format, almost as if they were bound to each other, but one lay outside of the form. It was an onyx colored rock, its form was small and jagged, the light shimmering off it’s exterior like the moon off calm water. In the dense, night air the rock seem to glow and shimmer with a light all it’s own, if you could call what it illuminated light. For the emotion you got out of the rock as you approached it was cold and dark, like cooled steel, yet it was jagged and rough as if it were trying to harm your mind. The other emanated feelings to but they were more tame, some even pleasant. What these four boulders that fell onto the steps mean, no one seems to know. Sure they have their guesses but that’s what they are, guesses. To see it plainly most do not care for the rocks, they see no significance in them and so their fore they pay no mind. Oh, but they should take heed. Mother Earth is mocking us now, taunting us with her storms and floods, fires and avalanches. Or is she? Is this a warning or a punishment, you can decide for yourself what you believe but I shall remain anonymous.
