Tseng opened his eyes to chaos. And the pain.

Am I still alive? he thought. He tried to move and found that he could, albeit painfully. He sat up with great effort and looked down on his ruined suit. Damn, I just got this cleaned too.

He looked around the remnants of Rufus' office. Diamond Weapon had damn near obliterated everything. And what hadn't been destroyed was in chaos.

Rufus!

Tseng looked around for the young president, ignoring the fact that his body was protesting painfully. Rufus! Oh gods, please be all right! he thought. Rufus was nowhere within sight.

Oh please be alive, Rufus! Tseng begged silently. He struggled to his feet even though his body screamed in pain. I've got to find Rufus!

Tseng began to search the ruined building. He moved fallen walls, shoved aside broken desks, ignoring his broken ribs and lacerations. And then he heard a groan.

Rufus?!?

Tseng ran as fast as his battered body could to the sound of the groan. And he was rewarded by the sight of the smaller man. The only problem was that the young president of the ShinRa Electric Company was located beneath a steel girder. Tseng bent down to check the blonde's pulse. It was slow and irregular, but present.

Don't die on me, Rufus! I couldn't take it! You have to be alright, you have to! Tseng thought to himself as he attempted to pull Rufus free. It wasn't going to work, the handsome blonde was wedged under the heavy steel girder.

"Sir, I need you to wake up," Tseng said in is usual calm monotone. Rufus' eyes fluttered, but Tseng was not able to receive any other response. Wake up, Rufus! Damn you, don't leave me!

Tseng attempted to lift the steel girder, but it was so heavy that he doubted that even Rude could lift it. GodDAMN it! Rufus! Wake up! Please!

"Ts-Tseng?"

Tseng looked down at the bleeding Rufus. He was awake, but his true blue eyes were unfocused and shifting.

Tseng took in a deep breath and asked, "Are you all right, sir?"

An annoyed expression passed across Rufus' perfectly chiseled face. "I'm bleeding, I'm bruised. I'm trapped underneath a steel girder. My legs are probably broken, and I may never be able to walk again. Diamond Weapon just blasted my office and damn near killed me. My hair's a mess and my clothes are ruined. And you want to know if I'm all right. Do you really want me to answer that, Tseng?" Rufus asked in a dangerously sweet tone.

He's acting normally. He's either pretending he's hurt, or is scared shitless. I'm opting for the latter, Tseng thought to himself. "Not really, sir, but I'm sure you're going to tell me anyways," Tseng answered as calmly as a man ordering sushi.

"Of course I am Tseng. I'm going to tell you exactly how all right I am. If there is a stable point on a line that signifies all right, I am at this moment SO FUCKING FAR FROM ALL RIGHT, THAT I'M ACROSS THE FUCKING UNIVERSE AS WE KNOW IT!!!!!!!! Does that answer you question, Tseng?" Rufus replied, his face instantaneously changing from normal to red to normal.

He's going to be fine, if I can just get him free, Tseng thought. "Yes, sir," he answered, unperturbed by his president's unseemly temper tantrum.

Rufus smiled sweetly at Tseng. "Excellent. Then if you could please attend to GETTING ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, I'm sure that everything will go splendiforously," he said in his usual burst of emotion that was completely at odds with his pleasant, sweet tone.

Tseng wondered if perhaps he could shoot the irritating bastard and get away with it. He decided that he could. So why don't I? Oh, that's right, I'm the idiot who fell in love with the irritating little bastard.

"I'm working on the problem as we speak, sir," he said, his porcelain oriental face as serene as ever.

"Well work faster, my legs are hurting," Rufus whined, his handsome face screwed up into an expression that can only be described as a pout.

"Yes, sir," Tseng said. Oh good, his legs are hurting, he'll be able to walk, Tseng thought. He looked around for something to help him lift the girder, ignoring Rufus' strident complaints. His eyes rested on a smaller steel girder, one that he could lift. That's it! I'll use this girder as a lever!

"Tseng, are you even listening to me?" Rufus complained, his pouty face complimenting his bleeding forehead.

"Of course, sir. I will attend to your grooming as soon as I lift the girder. As for the temperature, I'm afraid there is nothing I can do, as the air conditioning is broken. And pain killers will be gotten as soon as possible," he answered calmly.

Tseng strained to lift the smaller steel girder, feeling muscles pop and broken ribs protest. He ignored his bodies complaints as well as he did Rufus'. He dragged the thick piece of metal towards the larger one that had Rufus pinned by the thighs. He ignored Rufus' latest batch of complaints while positioning the smaller steel girder beneath the larger one. As he put the steel girders into place he turned to Rufus, his face as deadpan as ever.

"Sir, in order for me to able to do this I'm going to need to concentrate. In case you haven't noticed, there is no more ShinRa, and you've been disposed. If you go back into the streets of Midgar, the people there are going to lynch you. So now that you are no longer president, I would appreciate it greatly if you would shut the fuck up, or I'm going to shut you the fuck up," Tseng said, his monotone never wavering.

Rufus' deep blue eyes widened in shock and his mouth gaped open. Tseng took this opportunity to use the lever and pulled with all his might, straining every muscle he possessed. His ribs cried out to him and silenced as they realized that the pain he was feeling was unspeakable. The large piece of metal that had Rufus trapped began to groan and creak, lifting slowly. Tseng turned his head in Rufus' direction, tears pouring down his beautiful face, sweat slicking back his perfect long, glossy black hair.

"Move... Rufus... can't... hold... much... longer..." Tseng croaked out, wishing he was stronger.

Rufus stopped gaping and scooted back with his one good leg and both his arms, straining his own muscles to do so as quickly as possible. As soon as he was clear, he watched Tseng let go quickly and fall to the ground with a muffled cry of pain.

"Ts-Tseng, are you, uh, all right?"he asked tentatively, wondering why he was asking, especially after Tseng's lack of respect.

Tseng stood up shakily, and grimaced once before schooling his face back into it's usual mask of calm. "I'll be fine, sir," he said, "Let's just get you to a safe place."

Rufus nodded his head and watched Tseng walk with some difficulty to him and pick him up like a groom would carry a bride. Rufus managed to remain quiet as Tseng walked slowly down the shattered steps, never once losing his balance or giving any sign of pain at carrying Rufus. Rufus looked down at his mangled leg and then turned away, understanding why it hurt so much.

"Well, at least we're alive, Tseng," Rufus said quietly, watching a small, pencil thin smile spread across Tseng's perfect features. Tseng didn't answer, afraid that if he opened his mouth he would scream in pain. He managed to get down to the ground floor, praying his secret entrance was intact. He was pleased to note that it was not only intact, but Diamond Weapon had conveniently broke the false wall down, as well as the identity scanners, and doors. He manged to walk down the pathway, to his own personal escape helicopter.

"Tseng? Where are we going?" Rufus asked, not recognizing this hallway. He pouted when his Turk did not answer him. And then he gaped at the helicopter that Tseng was carrying him towards. He realized that Tseng did not have to bring him here, and remained silent.

Tseng quietly placed Rufus in the passenger seat, and sat behind the pilot's seat, buckling Rufus in with a sigh after the blonde kept failing at this operation. He buckled himself in and lifted the helicopter out and away from Midgar.

Rufus remained silent the whole trip, assessing his new situation. He was no longer president of ShinRa, as ShinRa no longer existed. Midgar was either destroyed or soon to be destroyed. Sephiroth was calling Meteor, and the world was coming to an end. He was now at his ex-employee's mercy, and was being taken to parts unknown. And the worst of it was that his hair was a mess, his clothes were ruined, and he had no opportunity to pack.

He looked over at Tseng, who was as stony as usual. Rufus marveled over how this man remained so calm in the face of everything. He came back for me. Risked his life for me. And he didn't have to. Why?

Rufus noticed after a few hours that Tseng was landing the helicopter on some island. "Where are we?" he asked.

"On a small island near the goblin forest," Tseng answered shortly as he lowered the helicopter. Rufus gasped in astonishment as part of the ground slid away to reveal a metallic pit in the ground. Tseng lowered the helicopter into the pit, and then the ground slid back, so no one above would know of this secret hideout.

Rufus looked around the underground landing field, noting doors leading off in various directions. Tseng climbed out and went over to Rufus' side, opening the door.

"You had all this made in case you needed to hide somewhere?" Rufus asked incredulously. Tseng picked Rufus up and carried him over to the medical center.

"In case we needed to hide. This is the special project you approved five years ago," Tseng said calmly as he approached the doors of the medical center, worried over the fact that his pain seemed to have stopped.

"Oh, I had forgotten. We do have the food stores and necessary supplies, right?" Rufus asked sheepishly, chiding himself for his forgetfulness.

"Yes, sir, for the next five years. I also had the monetary funds transferred here. After everything blows over, providing Sephiroth does not succeed in his goal of world destruction, we should be able to retire quite comfortably in Costa Del Sol for the rest of our lives," Tseng replied. He placed the blonde in the healing tank, hooking Rufus into the med system and programming it carefully to ensure his maximum recovery.

"So we have to leave everything in the hands of that clown with the ridiculous hairdo, his girlfriend with the silicone implants, his other girlfriend that would cause a healthy man to die of high blood sugar if he didn't take an insulin shot, his talking dog, the foul-mouthed pilot, the kleptomaniac, and the vampire?!?" Rufus asked, his voice trembling in irritation.

"You forgot the man with a gun for an arm, the walking plush toy, and the fact that the twit was killed," Tseng said calmly, noticing the massive internal injuries Rufus had sustained.

"Oh really? The bubble-headed ancient is dead? Who killed the whore?"

"Sephiroth, sir."

"Remind me to send him a thank you card if he doesn't destroy the world."

"Yes, sir."

Tseng smiled at his former president's sarcasm, realizing that was probably one of the reasons he had fallen in love with the man in the first place.

"You're smiling, Tseng. I must be going to die," Rufus said with a worried expression.

Tseng looked up and siad," No, sir, I'm afraid not. However, you will be spending a month in stasis while the automated medical system repairs your injuries."

Rufus sighed and looked into his former Turk's deep brown eyes. "Thank you, Tseng," he said sincerely.

Tseng smiled again and said, "You're welcome, sir." Tseng activated the system, forcing Rufus into a mock coma for the next month. He then placed himself in the next healing tank, noting he would be under for only three weeks. His last conscious thoughts were of Rufus.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rufus woke up to see Tseng's face, in his usual serene expression. He blinked and tested his limbs, feeling remarkably healthy.

"Do you always have to be so damn calm, Tseng? Has it been a month already?" he asked with an irritated expression on his pretty face.

"Yes and yes, sir. I think you should see something," Tseng said.

Rufus griped and got up. "Can I least have a shower first?" he asked, his irritation building.

Tseng nodded and directed him to the shower, telling Rufus to meet him on the promenade.

After two hours, Rufus stormed into the promenade, his peaches and cream complexion reddened in frustration. "Tseng, this damn undergroung hideout you have here is a damn maze. I've been wandering it for half a damn hour!" Rufus huffed crossing his arms over his white kimono.

Tseng turned to him calmly, wearing a navy blue kimono. His long, ebony hair was combed back and was as glossy as ever. He looked even more Oriental than ver in the kimono. Except for the black dot on his forehead. One day, Rufus promised himself, one day I will find out why he has a dot on his forehead.

"Yes, sir. I'm very sorry, sir. But I think you need to see this, sir," Tseng said calmly (as if he said anything in any other way) as he turned on the wall-sized view screen for Rufus.

Rufus gaped at the sight of Meteor bearing down on Midgar, and the destruction it was wreaking. "So Sephiroth succeeded, and we're all going to die," he whispered.

"I'm afraid so, sir," Tseng said gently.

Rufus fell to his knees and covered his face with his hands. "I... I don't want to die, Tseng," Rufus said softly, sounding every bit like a scared little boy.

Tseng walked over to where Rufus was and kneeled down beside him. "Neither do I, sir, but there is nothing we can do about it," he said as he put his arm around the smaller man's shoulders.

Rufus looked up into Tseng's chocolate eyes, tears filling his own electric blue ones. He clutched Tseng's kimono, drawing the older man nearer to him. "Please stay with me, Tseng. I don't want to die alone," he pleaded, sounding much younger than he really was.

Tseng nodded, trying not to look shocked at Rufus' begging. "Of course, sir. I'll never leave your side," he said honestly.

Rufus brought his face to Tseng's. "Could you... would you... just give me a kiss before dying?" he begged looking for solace in the only man Rufus could ever even hope to call a friend.

Tseng nodded, to surprised to speak.

Rufus let his pink lips touch Tseng's porcelain ones softly before encircling Tseng's mouth with his own. Tseng responded passionately, wrapping his arms around Rufus's slim shoulders. Rufus deepened the kiss, letting his tongue enter Tseng's mouth, exploring every inch of it.

Tseng responded by encircling Rufus' tongue with his own, and slipped his hands down to rub Rufus' smooth back. Rufus tugged at Tseng's kimono, slipping his hands in to massage Tseng's muscled, yet porcelain skin. Tseng pulled back to look at Rufus, finding consent in his perfect face.

Tseng picked Rufus up as a groom would his bride and carried the feisty blonde over to the divan on the promenade. He gently laid him down, and before he could do anything else, Rufus pulled Tseng on top of him. Tseng fell over and succumbed to the smaller man's urgent kisses, allowing Rufus to take off his kimono.

Rufus admired Tseng's nude form with a coy smile. "A pity I never noticed your beauty before, Tseng. I might have done this long ago," Rufus purred, every inch the seductor.

Tseng smiled and then gasped as Rufus began to lick one of his nipples. He slipped his hands down to Rufus' buttocks, massaging it through the silk of Rufus' kimono. "And you have the nicest ass I have ever had the pleasure to caress," Tseng said with emotion creeping into his voice.

Rufus rewarded Tseng by sucking on the nipple and using one of his hands to fondle the other. He soon switched sides, as Tseng lifted Rufus' kimono so he could massage the bare skin of Rufus rear end, noting how smooth it was.

Rufus let his free hand drift down Tseng's chest, to his stomach, and hover over Tseng's partially erect penis before surrounding the are with his hand. He listened to Tseng's moans as he began to stroke the impressive shaft slowly, letting his thumb rub on the tip. Tseng responded by letting his fingers probe Rufus' entrance gently, eliciting a surprised yelp from Rufus.

Tseng grinned impishly as he said, "My dear Rufus, you may be used to being in charge, but when it comes to matters such as these, you better let me take over."

Rufus raised an eyebrow as his kimono was removed. Tseng sat back, lifting Rufus up onto his lap. He smiled and nuzzled Rufus' confused face as he began to stroke Rufus' own erection. Tseng bent down to suck on Rufus' nipples as his hand began to tug on Rufus' penis, causing it to become fully aroused.

"Tseng what is so different about this?" Rufus asked, annoyed that his position of power had been stripped from him. Tseng laid Rufus back down and got up to rummage around in one of the desks. He came back to an extremely annoyed Rufus with a bottle of lotion and three silk ties.

Rufus raised an eyebrow and before he could question Tseng, he was gagged by one of the silk ties. He realized Tseng's intentions and grinned through the gag. If he was going to die, he wanted to be as kinky as possible.

Tseng tied Rufus hands together and then blindfolded him. He sat back down on the divan, bringing Rufus back on his lap. He began to go back to kissing Rufus' nipples and stroking his penis. He leaned the sexy blonde back so he could kiss his penis, eliciting muffled moans from the gagged Rufus. He let his tongue explore the tip of Rufus' erection before engulfing it with his mouth and sucking gently. Rufus muffled moans became louder.

Tseng sucked on Rufus' penis, moving his mouth up and down and still licking it with his tongue. Rufus was almost screaming in pleasure, his hips rocking into Tseng's pliant mouth. Tseng pulled back suddenly, causing Rufus to arch to seek his mouth. Tseng chuckled and sat up, bringing Rufus with him.

Rufus eyes were glazed with pleasure, but his face registered annoyance at Tseng's pulling back. Tseng just smiled calmly at Rufus as he started to squeeze lotion on his hands, then probing Rufus' entrance yet again, lubricating the tight entrance quite well. He squeezed some more lotion on his own penis, and then used Rufus' bound hands to spread the lotion. Rufus' complied by working the lotion in with his fingers, causing Tseng to close his eyes in pleasure.

Tseng then maneuvered the pretty blonde's rear end over his penis, probing the entrance gently with his fingers to prepare Rufus for the intrusion. Rufus closed his eyes and dropped suddenly, impaling himself willingly on Tseng's erection, causing the disciplined man to cry out in pleasure at Rufus' sudden action.

Tseng smiled and brought one hand to encircle Rufus' penis, rubbing slowly up and down, and using the other to gain balance. He thrust into the slim man gently at first, allowing Rufus time to adjust to the new sensations. As Rufus rolled his head back in ecstasy as Tseng found his hidden g-spot, Tseng began to bounce Rufus on his hips, causing Rufus to cry out. Tseng increased the speed at which he was pumping Rufus' erection, using his thumb to stimulate the very tip of it. Tseng matched the speed of his bouncing thrusts into Rufus to the pumping of his hand. Rufus began to match his own thrusts into Tseng's hand to Tseng's rhythm.

Rufus was very pleased when the low-key Tseng began to cry out his name in his own ecstasy, all self discipline forgotten at the moment. Rufus just moaned into his gag, almost wishing he was free, but finding the restriction of his bondage even more exciting. He arched backwards, breaking into a sweat as he climaxed into Tseng's hand, most of his semen spilling back onto Tseng's stomach. He felt Tseng's sudden pause as he climaxed as well, his semen spilling into Rufus and dripping back out onto Tseng's thighs as he pulled out of Rufus and laid back. Rufus fell on top of him, both men breathing heavily.

Tseng looked over at the view screen, realizing he was still alive and was shocked by the view. He reached over to untie Rufus' blindfold and pointed to the viewscreen. "Take a look , sir," Tseng said with a tremble to his voice, not quite having regained his composure just yet.

Rufus gaped at the sight that met his eyes. The lifestream had destroyed Meteor, leaving only the ruins of Midgar left. Cloud and his scooby gang had succeeded, and the world wasn't going to end after all. He wasn't going to die.

Oh boy! What now?

Rufus looked down at Tseng in shock, his eyes widening as Tseng removed the gag. Rufus swallowed looking at the beautiful Asian with trepidation. "So, uh, what now?" he asked Tseng.

Tseng looked at him seriously. "Now I suppose we start over, Rufus," he said calmly, composure regained.

Rufus looked at the viewscreen and then back at his new lover. "No, Tseng, we start new. No more Midgar, no more materia, no more SOLDIER, no more mako, no more ShinRa. Just you, me, and a bottle of wine," he said seriously.

Tseng grinned, "Sir, to quote a famous actor, 'I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship."

Rufus grinned back. "Definitely, lover, and you know what else?" he asked in a playful tone.

"What's that, sir?" Tseng asked untying Rufus' hands and planting kisses on his neck, pleased at being called "lover".

"I think you should kiss me before dying more often."
