~ Sisterhood addresses issues such as women's identity, interpersonal relationships, social roles, health issues, and our role in judaism.
~ Sisterhood events are any BBG ceremony, such as MIT inductions or installations, trust games, sleepovers, scavenger hunts, building time capsules, as well as discussions and workshops on these issues.
~Jewish Heritage covers the totality of Jewish life, the Jewish Heritage fold is meant to remind us that Judaism is the foundation of our order, and therefore is part of everything we do as BBG's.
~ Jewish Heritage programs can be anything from holding your own service, to building a chapter sukkah, to educating members on jewish concerns, to holding an "Israeli experience" night, to preparing a chapter shabbat dinner, to having a Holocaust remembrance program.
~BBG chapters are among the most active organizations in both the general and jewish communities.
~ Community Service programs can be indirect service (raising money for charities) or direct service (volunteering at a soup kitchen, blood drive, elderly home, orphanage, tutoring children, or passing out bag lunches to the homeless).
~ Although one time community service events are helpful, on-going community service is highly encouraged so that we can make a more significant impression on ourselves and others.
~ The Social Action fold enables us to educate our members, voice our concerns, and take action.
~ Social Action programs are normally things like sponsoring a "get-out-the-vote" campaign, AIDS awareness programs, creating petitions to send to political leaders, and speakers on date rape.
~ Recreation programs help build teamwork, and they are very easy to combine with other folds.
~ Recreation programs range from sports tournaments, to hay rides, to dances, to apple picking, to sledding, to a progressive dinner, to a relaxation night.
~ The Creativitey Fold creates opportunity for members to maximize their abilities and talents through imaginative programs that encourage them to express themselves in new ways.
~ Creativity programs can include drama games, pizza making parties, jewlery making, painting a mural, or making chapter picture frames.
