Sheep= Spiritually healed enriched & Extraverted Prophets
Kevin,
sheep’s keyboardist, guitarist & sometimes violinist, in his day job works
as an engineer building stuff for NASAJ
Kevin has been part of the original vision of sheep since 1995 when
Jamie formed his first band where Kevin was the keyboardist & has stuck with
it since, he of course has picked up some new instruments in the process!
From about Jamie: Jamie recalls how Sheep
Ministries came to be, “Sheep Ministries started off as a small band in late
1994, when bunch of friends from my old High schools, “Mountain Secondary,
Holy Cross & my church St Joes,” got together to jam, one night, to try
some of my Christian songs. The band consisted of Anton, Dave, Ian, Kevin
Eng, (Now Jamie’s keyboardist for Sheep) Jill & Kate. Realizing we had
something, we continued to meet, to practice. It was quite a funny thing, we
were all from different walks of life, Anton & Dave where total rockers
& not really interested in God or Church life. Kevin & myself, totally
were involved in Church, Jill, Kate & Ian, where all searching &
starting to become part of the Church scene. We, would all get together 1 time a
week & jam at Mountain secondary in their music room & other times would
meet in a small room, upstairs, At my parents house.
After feeling we were ready to showcase our music, we later approached
the Youth day '95 council to request a slot to showcase our Christian music
& talent, I knew many of the members of the council that year, so it wasn't
too hard of a request & after an accopella audition, they gave us the O.K.
& the rest is history.
