Secret Cake Recipe (Lazy Daisy Cake)

Cake Ingredients

• 1 c Flour
• 1 c Sugar
• 1/2 c Milk
• 2 Eggs
• 1 T Butter
• 3/4 t Salt
• 1 t Vanilla
• 1 t Baking Powder

Cake Instructions

1. Beat eggs
2. Add sugar, gradually beat until fluffy
3. Sift flour, salt, baking powder together
4. Add egg mixture
5. Heat milk and butter to boiling point
6. Add vanilla
7. Mix all together
8. Makes one 9x9 cake (double for 9x11 pan) bake at 350°F for 20-35 min

Topping Ingredients

• 5 T Brown Sugar
• 3 T Cream
• 3 T Butter
• 1/2 c Coconut
• 1/2 c Nuts

Topping Instructions

1. Mix
2. When cake is done spread on top
3. Put under broiler to brown

Theory of the Dish

I got this from my mom. Mother says, "That cake recipe is called Lazy Daisy cake and I found it in an old cookbook." But we called it the Secret Cake because one of her friends claimed it was on old family recipe she could not reveal.
