Yvonne is as hard as nails:a working class girls made rich through her husband, Charlie's, criminal gains. Her moral code is simple: don't mess with her or hers- or take the consequences. Yvonnes a mother of two kids: Lauren, on whom she dotes and Ritchie, whom she hasn't seen for two years. She has learned not to talk about him, but she misses him dreadfully.
                 Yvonne has money and influence. Because things have been easy for her, she has learned to expect to get everything she wants. When people get in her way, she can be ruthless. But there's a generous, warm side to Yvonne. She is free with her possessions and she protects the more vunerable prisoners from the bullies. The women know they can come to her with their problems and she'll usually find a solution.
                 She might not be educated, but Yvonne has a razor-sharp brain. She can spot a liar at a hundred yards. She can smell the odour of 'bent screw' hanging in the G-Wing air. No one gets the better of Yvonne in verbal jousts. Her intelligence makes her a danger to the screws. Her status of top dog is one which has the full support of her fellow inmates. Yvonne has a violent streak: it's part of her training as a survivor.
