修读心理学需要拿历史？

hello,i'm studying at a private school now,and now i'm in senior 3, i'm going to study psychology,so what the qualifies it needs?
Am i need to choose the subjects like history?
Where can i further my studies if i choose this subjects?

Dear jw tan,

Refering to the infomation on hand, only the Local Public University offered Psychology study, those are University of Malaya(UM), National University(UKM), and Malaysian University of Sabah(UMS). No other private college offered this course except for oversea study.

As a basic qualification to apply Psychology study, you must have taken STPM. Your SPM and STPM mathematics paper must be credit(A1 - C6) or principle(A - E) grade. Your SPM Bahasa Melayu must be credit. You must have taken MUET(Malaysian University English Test).

History is optional for 3 of these universities, but Mathematic paper is much important.

In UM and UKM, there is no an isolated school or faculty for this study but offered by Faculty of Art (Fakulti Sastera) and that is a major course for Art Student. Means you can choose Psychology majoring once you have been offered as Bachelor of Art(Sarjana Muda Sastera).

In UMS, there is a school called "Psychology and Sosial Work School" offered psychology study. You must attend an INTERVIEW in first year before you can proceed to second year in this school.
