GUIDELINES

1. We recognize that homeschoolers come from vastly diverse backgrounds, but all with the common philosophy that we want the best for our children and their education.

2. We welcome members of all religions, political, and educational philosophies. We purposefully do not do anything religious or political at any of our activities. We will respect other members' philosophies, and avoid conflicts by asking that the subject be dropped if it causes division.

3. We will remain an informal organization without a "hierarchial" leadership, so that we can strive to let every member take part or contribute in as little or as much as they choose.

4. We will volunteer to help facilitate meetings when they are needed, and to help new contacts to the group.

5. Individual members can offer opportunities to the network of members to participate in both educational and fun activities. Individuals who offer an activity will make all decisions and arrangements regarding that activity. Every member is free to make his or her own decisions about what to offer, either as an individual, or in cooperation with others. No activity is mandatory.

6. We will insist that our children behave respectfully to others. We, as responsible adults, will discipline our own children while participating in any activities, especially during public activities, such as field trips. It is preferred to use conflict resolution techniques, time outs, and respectful admonishment when correcting children in public.

7. We will use the internet as a timely and inexpensive way to communicate. We will all be responsible for keeping other members informed about activities we offer, either through the internet, or by phone.

8. Our roster list and information is to be kept confidential. Do not give out any information from the roster without the member's(s') prior consent.
