Well seeing as I was making the original Gundam, it was just as fitting to make Char's MS-06S Zaku II, and it turned out that the croc Meg's would make a better Zaku than I thought.
I began, again, with the head. I altered the eyes to look like the Zaku's monocamera, and built the Zaku's "snout" from putty. For the cables I used those annoying little twist ties that tie down the BW figs. I made a small antenna from some styrene. On the left arm, I used some more epoxy putty to make the spiked shoulder pad. For the right, I played with the croc's tail until I got a good looking shoulder shield (the tail has the gun removed, and the lower section is actually opened and flattened out some, although not very visible in the scan. Then using more twist ties, I made the other cables an the legs and chest. I made the gun by simply sawing it off of the rest of the tail, and modifying it a bit.
Painting
Both of the main colors were custom mixes. I used Phantom gray
for the chest, knees and feet, and Arms gray for the hands,
joints and gun. Details were done with a gundam marker, and a
wash was added to the scaly areas.
Like Gunvoy, Zakutron no longer transforms, but would also do so in character. His transformation would be identical to Meg's except that his tail turns into a shield and gun rather than just the gun.
