1) The HTML fragment

This is the HTML fragment you put on your page(s). Just cut and paste straight from here or look at the text file which contains the HTML fragment.

<!-- Begin Rurouni Kenshin WebRing Fragment -->

<!!-- End Rurouni Kenshin WebRing Fragment -->

You need to replace the RINGPIC##, RINGID#, and YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS with the appropriate information. For instance in the slot RINGID# (below):

href="http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=rkring&id=RINGID#&next5">

you would fill in your ring ID# (say 1):

href="http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=rkring&id=1&next5">

Not in colour of course *:)

2) How to get into the ring
  1. You need to have a homepage that has Rurouni Kenshin material on it.
  2. You need to fill out the form. You'll get a password which can be used to edit or add in the future.
  3. You need to add the HTML fragment to the URL you registered.
  4. Once that is done, and you have the info in the HTML code all filled out properly, E-mail a member of the ring to add you.

3) How to add others to the ring
  1. Unfortunately, the only way you can be added is by E-mailing the ringmaster. This is because members were adding people without checking to see if they had the HTML fragment up or not.

4) Rules of the ring
  1. The HTML fragment must be on the URL that you registered. If you have an opening/splash page, you can elect to put it on your second page so as not to clutter your splash page. If you have both frames and no frames versions of your homepage, the fragment must be present on both versions.
  2. The homepage must not be a "Just Started" or "Still Under Construction" page to a point where there is barely anything in the homepage.
  3. The HTML fragment MUST include one of the logo's from the logo archive.
  4. If you are a member of more than 2 rings, it would be great if you place ours at the top.
  5. The HTML fragment must not be modified in anyway except to change the logo picture and add in the needed info. You can also change the font colours, etc if you want to, but the base HTML must stay the same (ie. you can't take the logo and stuff out of the table). You can shrink the ring logo to a smaller size, but not smaller than 50 x 50, but you cannot change the size of the ring menu picture (the image map won't work anymore if you do!). Further changes may be allowed, but E-mail the ringmaster first.
  6. Logo's used must be from the logo archive. Permission from the ringmaster is needed before using any other pics or modifying existing logo's.
  7. DO NOT LINK the logo to your homepage. Copy the logo of your choice to YOUR disk space.
