On the anniversary of Linda's fathers death I wrote this poem for her
In thoughts of you
It doesn’t take a special day for me to think of you
And all the very special things you used to say and do
It doesn’t take a sunny day or a bright blue sky above
To think of all your kindness of a father and his love
And so dear dad there’s one more thing I’d like to say
But I’m sure you really know
You were special to me all my life
And I loved you so
When flowers I now place upon that quiet spot
Wishing you were here
To put your arms around me, and wipe away my tears
You’d smile and say, my dearest child.. don’t cry
I haven’t gone so far away
when you close your eyes and think of me
I'm always... very near
