Stories of Rishi

Our Hindoo mythological literature, Raamaayan, Mahaabhaarat, Puraan etc, is full of Rishi's stories. There are four words which are used interchangeably for Rishi - Rishi, Maharshi, Raajsrshi, and Brahmarshi. Although there is a slight difference between these terms, but still we will be using them interchangeably.

This page is set up to tell you stories about the Rishi, Maharshi and Brahmarshi told in our Raamaayan, Mahaabhaarat, Puraan etc books. Some Rishi are very good while others are known as angry Rishi that even Devtaa were afraid of them and were victims of their ill behavior. Some of those stories are presented here.
