Knowing this Vikram proceeded towards that
palace. He wanted to see whether his Punya was more than that Yogee's Punya
or not. As he came to the door of that palace, a fire ball came there from
nowhere. A order-like voice came from inside and the fireball moved to one
side and it left the entrance for Vikram to enter. Vikram again went forward
that the same voice asked him his introduction and if he did not tell the
truth then he will burn him by his Shaap.
By then Vikram had reached the inside room.
Seeing him the Yogee stood up. When he told that he was Raajaa Vikramaaditya,
he considered himself fortunate and told him that he did not expect that he
would see Vikramaaditya. He felicitated him and asked him to ask for
something. Vikram asked him the same palace along with all comforts and
conveniences. Yogee readily handed over that palace to Vikram and went away
in forest.
He came very far from his palace and saw his
Guru. His Guru asked him the reason of his wandering, he told him that he
had donated that palace to Raajaa Vikram. His Guru laughed and said - "What
can you give to the greatest donor of this world?" And he asked him to take
that palace back from him in disguise of a Braahman. So he went to Vikram in
the hut where he was doing his Saadhanaa in disguise and asked him to give
some place to live. Vikram asked him to tell his desired place. He asked the
same palace from him. Vikram smiled and told him that he had come there at
the same time leaving the palace intact. He asked that palace only to test
him.
After telling this story, the 31st figure
Kaushalyaa said - "Although Raajaa Vikramaaditya was regarded greater than
Devtaa in qualities and was able to sit Indra's throne, but still he was a
human being. He was born in Mrityu Lok, so one day he died. All people
started crying for him. When his dead body was kept on pyre, his all queens
became Satee with him. Devtaa rained flowers on his pyre. His eldest son was
declared the King. His all coronation ceremonies were performed but he could
not sit on his throne. He could not know that why couldn't he sit on his
father's throne.
He was perplexed with this situation, that
Vikram himself came in his dream and asked him to be like Devtaa. He told
him when he will become able to sit on his throne through his fame, Punya
etc, he himself will come in his dream and tell him. But when he did not
come in his dream for some time, he did not know what to do of his throne. Then he
consulted Pandit and learned people and one day according to their advice he
slept after remembering his father, Vikram came in his dream and asked him
to bury it in the ground and go to Ambaavatee leaving Ujjain. He further
said - "Whenever any qualitative King will be born in future, this throne
will go to him itself."
So according to his orders, next day morning,
he made his people dug a deep ditch and buried his throne in it. He himself
went to Ambaavatee and started ruling from there.
