Stories From Other Sources
- Introduction
"These
stories have been taken from other sources, such as Internet sites, other
books etc. Our purpose to keep them here is not to copy them here, but to
keep them all at one place without losing them, as it is very common with
Internet sites that they disappear within no time. This site lists 6
stories in all.
4-Three
Sensitive Queens
Once there
was king of Ujjayinee whose name was Dharmdhwaj. He had three queens, very
sensitive. All were very beautiful and the King also loved them all very
much.
Once
the King was sitting with his first queen. He just barely touched her hair
that a lotus flower which was adorned in her hair, fell on her thigh and
caused a wound. The king was greatly amazed to see such sensitivity and
called a doctor to treat it.
On
another time, he was playing with her second queen on the roof of his
palace on a full Moon night. After a while the queen felt her skin burning
of the moonlight. The King was amazed at her sensitivity also and asked
the doctor to treat her.
Now
one day, her third queen fell down hearing the sound of pestle grinding
the rice very far away. Again King had to call doctor to treat her. After
thesde incident he got very scared and took a great care of his queens.
Vaitaal
stopped here and asked Vikram - "Now tell me who was the most
sensitive queen among the three?" Vikram thought for a while and said -
"The third boy, because she was not even touched by anything - be it
light or flower. She heard only a faint sound from very far away."
As
soon as Vikram finished his answer, Vaitaal ran away and hung on the same
tree upside down.
