Analysis/Criticism:

A golden-horned, white Pegasus gracefully lands in a pond, in a forest of green that reflects in the water. Dark silhouettes of trees and their leaves border the sides while graceful one emits a sort of bluish aura. Wings outstretched and orange eyes glaring.
A formal property that stands out most in this masterpiece is Emphasis. The white on a dark green background really focuses on the mysteriousness, even holiness of the figure. The first noticeable thing is the Pegasus. Next, would be the surrounding environment, thus drawing the eye toward the edges of the work of art where plants seem to grow.
This gorgeous figure of a Pegasus is portrayed as ethereal, perhaps even holy. The bright white set off with perfect blue suggests a purity and innocence of the figure. Dark shadows around the Pegasus may represent a world that is also dark and the Pegasus a beacon of light. Takeuchi-sama's meaning behind this drawing is most likely that of hope. A graceful and holy figure in a dark and brooding environment would give anyone the feeling that there is hope left in the world.
Although all of Takeuchi-sama's work is successful, this one definitely makes the cut. The colors are used to their full extent that sets the intended mood exquisitely. She fill's the whole page with color, leaving nothing wanting. If any art critic could find something wrong with this fabulous creation, they would certainly be in danger of all those who'd disagree.
