This was our welcome just outside the Paralympic Village.
We were greeted with security and local police with a dog sniffing our luggage and equipment for explosives and firearms. Well being a shooting team, of course the dog alerted on our equipment bags and guncases. We were a bit concerned, not knowing that this was all part of thier procedure.

Once they knew we had firearms it was no big deal, what it meant is we had to queue up in a line and check in our firearms into a lock up. Once we did this, our equipment bags and firearms were transported to the lock up at the shooting range......at least this is what we hoped was going to happen.  It was a few days before we went to the shooting range at Cecil Park to begin training and confirm all of our equipment was on site and not damaged.

From the point of checking in our firearms we still were not done, we still had to take our luggage and have it x-rayed prior to boarding another bus and finally heading to the Paralympic Village and finding out where we were to live for the next 3 weeks.
