"Parc, Kita, Lepanque, make haste to Orcra! Lepanque, your troops will go with you. These reinforcements will be needed! Hurry! Kethiryne, Irojima, hurry to Piladia. Procure reinforcements from there! Rio's and Kita's squads will accompany you. If it gets too dangerous, get out fast! Raquella and her squad will hold this fortress. Everyone else, with me!"
Kethiryne and Irojima reached the city of Piladia, capital of Pronyas, the Starlit City, filled with towers and observatories, which has been standing for ages past. Piladia has withstood the tests of time back before even when the Exiles were banished from this dimension. The central Tower of Piladia was where The Starsun, a legendary shield, was created long ago.
Kethiryne signaled the squads to remain at the city entrance. Irojima looked around, and spotted a guard. "Where is the Council of the Elders?"
The guard grunted and pointed to the Tower of Piladia. Irojima sighed. "Wasn't that obvious..."
They arrived the the Tower of Piladia, only to be stopped by an Angian watchmen. "I need to speak with the Council! This is urgent!" The Angian shook his head. "The Council is currently in session. No one may enter." Irojima glanced at Kethiryne. Kethiryne arched her eyebrows. "Sorry, but we're about to enter." Kethiryne punched the Angian under his armor. The guard fell to the ground, and Kethiryne entered the Tower.
Kethiryne stormed into the councilroom. "Council! The Alliance request reinforcements to be sent to Orcra! Konaia's forces are on the move as we speak!" Irojima walked in silently behind her.
An Akari elder coughed to clear his throat. "How dare you disturb the council and make such irrational cliams?" An Human elder stood up. "You storm into this room, and expect us to comply with your requests? You break into this tower, which I assume you must have done, expecting your validity to be true?"
"Silence!" An Angian elder wearing many magnificent robes slowly stood. "Young lady, I believe you are Kethiryne Wondler?" She nodded. "I see. What is the current situation? Reinforcements shall be sent immediately!" The Council gasped.
The first elder slammed his hand. "Chief Elder! I do believe this is not the best course of action!" A Pratzian elder rose up swiftly. "Who are you to challenge the Chief Elder?" The Chief Elder called the room to order. "There will be no arguing within this council while Konaia remains at large!" Kethiryne shook her head. Irojima smiled.
The Chief Elder noticed Irojima out of the corner of his eye. "Irojima Senneta. You have returned from the frontlines against Konaia?" Kethiryne glanced at Irojima, surprised by the elder's familiarity. Irojima nodded. "Chief Elder, I have determined that Konaia is indeed a great threat. Konaia has mobilized his troops against Orcra. If we do not stop him now, this menace will send his armies here, to Pialdia! We must mobilize our armies now!"
The Akari elder had another outburst. "Chief Elder! We should not act so irrationally!" The Chief Elder rose to the top pedestal of the power. "Elder Inoca. You have a secret to share, do you not? Perhaps maybe your alliance with Konaia, hm?"
The elders gasped. Elder Inoca rose up. "Hahahahaha....buwahahahahahaha....You have discovered my secret. But it's too late! Hahahahaha...as we speak, your forces are being decimated by Adori Konaia's powerful necromancers! Hahahahahahaha...go ahead, mobilize the forces! You will find nonetheless all our troops are gone! And now, I take my leave." The Elder Inoca vanished. The elders gasped again.
Irojima was watching all of this, and quickly stuck out his leg. A loud thump was heard, and Elder Inoca was on the floor. Irojima smirked. "A simple necromantic trick. Invisibility. To the untrained eye, he's gone. If you look closely enough however, you will see a disturbance in the dance, a ripple, so to speak." Kethiryne was amazed.
Inoca grinned. "My fate no longer matters! The Adori shall triumph!" Irojima kicked Inoca's gut, knocking him unconcious. Kethiryne looked back to the Chief Elder. "Chief Elder, you must mobilize your remaining forces and defend Orcra!" The Chief Elder nodded. "Of course. Mobilize the Pronyas Army! To Orcra!"
Meanwhile...
Parc, Kita, and Lepanque rode the pakkers to Orcra, only to find Konaia's army already there. Parc unmounted. "This is bad. Kita, go and scout the situation." Kita nodded, and went off. Lepanque unmounted her pakker. "Parc, what should we do?" Parc shook his head. "No idea. We can attack now, and get ourselves killed, or we can wait for the Pronyas Army and let Orcra be taken."
A large explosion was heard in the distance. Parc and Lepanque turned their heads, to find Orcra's defenses destroyed. A pakker was headed back to Parc, carrying Kita. Lepanque ran to the pakker and screamed. "Kita!" Kita was covered in blood, and her right leg was hanging onto her body by a thread.
Parc called the medic to come and examine Kita. The medic shook his head. "She's taken a fatal injury. I think she'll die in a few hours. We should end her misery now; she's in a lot of pain!" Lepanque slapped him. "We are not going to kill her! She will live, somehow. We must find a cleric!" Lepanque turned to head for Orcra, but Parc grabber her arm.
"Lepanque! There's nothing we can do! The only chance we have of finding a healer in time is in Orcra, which is currently under siege! To go there would be suicide! You saw what happened to Kita; I don't want it to happen to you!"
Lepanque stared into Parc's stoic eyes, knowing he was right, but her heart wanted to venture to Orcra, and reach the fading ember of hope. "I know Parc...but what about Kita? She can't die! We have to do something!" Parc moved his hands to her shoulders. "Kita won't die. Don't worry, we'll figure out something." Lepanque nodded. Parc turned to the battlefield. "But for now, we have to protect Orcra! If Konaia's forces take Orcra, they can easily stage a takeover of the rest of Epocya! Where could the Pronyas army be!?"
At the Resistance base...
Vanz prepared the resistance forces to attack Konaia's citadel. "Alright! If we do this right, this could be the final battle! Konaia must be stopped! This is our chance! Seize the day! Fight the good fight! Let us all go in glory!" Erynne and the rest of the troops cheered. The final battle of The First Resistance has come.
