As shown in Canning Retraced, the Canning
sight-line analysis proved accurate at Z189.
It's not known why Connally was so far inboard compared to the other passengers.
But Connally is shown there in the Muchmore film as the limo turns from
Main onto Houston (below).

We know this is Connally because as the limo completes its turn (below),
Connally definitely comes into view, as does Kellerman. Connally is also
captured in the Powers and Paschall films, taken earlier, inboard.

James Altgens' Houston St. photo shows Connally was well inboard (below).
One can easily see that Connally is not aligned with both Kennedy and Kellerman,
the agent sitting in front of Connally. The Governor is substantially to
the left of the two.

Already sitting inboard as the limousine went down Elm, Connally heard a
loud report that caused him to turn his head sharply to the right, seen
by the HSCA to begin occurring at Z162. Frames (below) show the head was
turn rightward as the car continued on down Elm.
