Episode One
On our very first episode there was tension at the Bodacious camp. Corey Feldman felt animosty towards Tribe Leader Jason Marsden because Corey felt he was more old school.
Emilio Estevez agreed with Corey saying "Damn! I looked up old school in the dictionary and saw a picture of you. Why the hell weren't you elected leader?" Meanwhile over at Gnarly Jonthan Taylor Thomas became annoyed with his tribe members who insisted on calling him JTT. Also, the tribe quickly grew tired of seeing pictures of Kirk Cameron's many adopted children and hearing him preach the miracles of Jesus Christ.
At the immunity challenge hosts Brandy and Melissa showed the tribes episodes of School House Rocks and then quizzed the men on their knowledge of old school TV. Gnarly walked away victorious leaving Bodacious to face their first tribal council.
Bonds were quickly forming at Bodacious between Jonathan Brandis, Devon Sawa, and Jason Marsden because they aren't quite as old school as everyone else. Emilio, Corey, and Fred were discussing strategy when suddenly Fred proclaimed he was the King Of Old School. Emilio and Corey couldn't believe he would say such a thing and made a silent agreement to vote him out.
At tribal council Melissa and Brandy gave the men their torches telling them that fire represents life on the island. Then they asked them a bunch of pointless questions. Finally it was time to vote. Jason, Jonathan, and Devon all voted for Corey. Corey, Emilio, and Vanilla Ice all voted for Fred. Jason James couldn't decide where he fell in according to the Old School Code so he voted for Fred. Fred oblivious to everything voted for Devon.
Fred was sent home that night.
Episode Two
We would like to thank Tiffany for providing tonight’s theme song "I Think We’re Alone Now"After Bodacious had to face their first tribal council, tensions are still running high between team leader Jason Marsden and Corey Feldman. They really got into it at one point and Jason said he was the most old school because he has to sell his autograph for $5 and work at Best Buy. Corey countered Jason with three words, 'The Surreal Life.' Corey, Vanilla Ice, and Emilio were trying to get Jason James in their alliance so they could snub out Jason, Jonathan, and Devon. Corey and Emilio were already planning for the merger where Corey would be reunited with old pal Corey Haim and they could broaden their alliance.
Meanwhile on the Gnarly tribe, alliances were also forming. The older members, Corey Haim, Wil, Judd, and Mackenzie, seemed to develop a strong bond. Similar to Bodacious, the leadership of Gnarly was being questioned as JTT was unable to get the tribe to work together to build their hut.
At the reward challenge, Brandy and Melissa presented the old school prize the tribes would be competing for: RC Cola and Moonpies. The challenge was an old school fashion show where only the most old school fashions would prevail. Despite the fabulous effort put forth by Vanilla Ice in his old school outfit from his glory days, he was no match for the combination of Judd Nelson in his Breakfast Club wardrobe, Corey Haim in his Lost Boys wardrobe, and Mackenzie Astin wearing his brother Sean’s old school knee socks and short shorts. The winning of the reward challenge provided renewed spirits to Gnarly.
After another day spent on the island, the tribes returned to Brandy and Melissa for their second immunity challenge. Ataris were brought out and the boys were told they have to play pong until one person is able to outlast the others and reign victorious. After more than 40 minutes of play, Corey Feldman showed his true old school expertise by outlasting everyone else.
At tribal council, Brandy and Melissa presented the boys with torches and told them that fire represents life on the island. They asked the traditional pointless questions and everyone cast their vote. The Corey, Judd, Mackenzie, and Wil alliance set their sights on JTT. JTT, Rider, and Ben voted for Wil. While they thought that Kirk was on their side Kirk ended up voting for Ben who had, earlier in the day, commented that Kirk’s daughter 'Lupe' was not cute.
JTT was sent home that night…
Episode Three
We’d like to thank Kris Kross for providing tonight’s theme song “Jump, Jump.”Day 7 on the island of Old School found tensions running high at Bodacious. Jason James was quite annoyed that none of his tribe members even knew who he was but all remembered the name of the damn whale. While eating breakfast Vanilla Ice was talking about the time he beat his wife while live on national radio Jason James quietly asked Devon to put some rice into his bowl and Vanilla went postal and started calling Jason James “non old school.”
Meanwhile over at Gnarly Wil Wheaton was talking about some new computer program that no one really cared about, Judd Nelson, the newly elected tribe leader, told him to shut up and Wil started crying and saying he wasn’t going to talk to anyone until they were nicer to him. Considering Wil has no conviction whatsoever this lasted about five minutes.
That day’s reward challenge was an old school roller skating contest. Melissa and Brandy judged on endurance and style. Due to the fabulous skills of Kirk and Mackenzie Gnarly found themselves as the owners of brand new parachute pants.
Problems were continuing over at Bodacious. Jason and Corey Feldman were arguing once again over who was more old school. Emilio quickly whipped out his luxury item, an old school dictionary, and looked up Corey. Next to Corey’s name were the words “King of Old School.” Jason told him to flip to his name and there they saw the words “A prime example of pathetic Old School.”
The next day at the immunity challenge Melissa and Brandy presented the boys with Rubex Cubes. The first to complete the puzzle without peeling off the stickers would reign victorious. After 3 hours Gnarly found themselves defeated by Bodacious’ logic solving skills.
At tribal council Melissa and Brandy gave the men their torches telling them that fire represents life on the island. Then they asked them a bunch of pointless questions. Vanilla Ice was still pissed at Jason James for interrupting his story so his alliance with Emilio and Corey voted for Jason James. Devon and Jason remained true to their alliance and voted for Corey. Jonathan Brandis felt his alliance with Devon and Jason would only end up getting him voted off the Old School island so he jumped ship and voted for Jason James. Jason James pissed at Vanilla Ice after the other morning’s incident voted for Vanilla. Jason James went home that night…
Episode Four
Shock and freakin’ awe…tensions were once again running high at Bodacious. Jason and Corey were continuing to bicker over the leadership position. Jonathan was listening to both sides and once again was questioning where his loyalties lie. Devon was adamantly defending Jason because once Jason told him that “Little Giants” was his favorite movie of all time.
Over at Gnarly Rider Strong and Ben Savage were reminiscing about “Boy Meets World” and trying to figure out why Will Friedle wasn't asked to be on the show and decided it was because of his current gig on “Kim Possible.” Kirk Cameron continued to show the boys pictures of his random children all while telling them how blessed he that Jesus Christ gave him so many wonderful children. People were getting sick and constantly throwing up…and believe me it wasn't from lack of food as one might expect.
At today’s reward challenge Melissa and Brandy told the boys their mission was to produce the most old school hair style possible. One boy would be the model and the others would style his hair. Although Rider Strong’s classic bowl cut was quite old school Vanilla Ice and Bodacious were victorious when he emerged with a mullet. The boys went home that night with a basket full of Fruit By the Foot.
Problems were continuing at Bodacious. Jonathan was extremely distraught over which side to be on. Emilio, Vanilla Ice, and Corey had decided to pick off the not quite so old school boys and had set their sights on Devon. While getting a drink of water Jonathan overheard Devon telling Jason that “Ladybugs” was a horrible movie. Jonathan’s mind was now made up.
The immunity challenge was held the next day. Melissa and Brandy showed the boys a Jeopardy style gameboard. The boys would be playing “Classic Old School Trivia.” The game was very close but Gnarly squeaked by answering the question “Who played the first Becky on ‘Roseanne’?”
At tribal council Melissa and Brandy gave the men their torches telling them that fire represents life on the island. Then they asked them a bunch of pointless questions. Finally it was time to vote. Corey, Emilio, Devon and Vanilla Ice all voted for Devon. Jason and Devon continued with their tradition of voting for Corey.
Devon was sent home that night.
Episode Five
We'd like to thank the Go Gos for providing tonight's theme song "Head Over Heels."Day 10 on the island finds tensions running remarkably high at Bodacious as Team Leader Jason finds himself without allies. Jason spends a large portion of the day trying to get in good with Jonathan who helped snub out Devon the night before. Corey, Emilio, and Vanilla found this very amusing since they had a pact to vote out Jason at the next tribal council and even with Devon's vote, they would still have a majority. Gnarly was a much more organized tribe under the leadership of the their new Tribal Leader Judd Nelson. Judd, Mackenzie, Corey, and Wil made a pact to vote out Kirk at the next tribal council since he had particularly upset Wil earlier in the day by saying that Wil's latest made for PAX movie 'Book of Days' was the worst garbage he had ever seen and it would make the baby Jesus cry. Rider and Ben split up to try and recruit others into their alliance which was now down to two.
At the immunity challenge the boys were told that they would be playing a slightly altered version of the old school MTV game show 'Singled Out.' Brandy and Melissa would choose one guy they would most like to go out with based upon answers that were given to a variety of questions. The guys were hidden so Brandy and Melissa could not see who gave what response and the guys were instructed not to give themselves away. The guy who was chosen would win immunity for his tribe. Since Gnarly currently has two more people than Bodacious, Gnarly had to sit two players out. They first, very wisely, chose Kirk Cameron who would answer all of the questions with some reference to Jesus or his many children. They next chose to sit out Ben Savage, who was very displeased by this.
Original 'Singled Out' host Chris Hardwick made a special guest appearance on the show by hosting. He seemed quite resentful of the fact that he had not been offered a seat on the island. Brandy and Melissa explained to him that in order to be on Old School Male Celebrity Survivor you had to do more in your day than simply host an MTV game show. He wept at hearing this but continued to host. After the first round of questions Corey and Vanilla had both eliminated themselves and given themselves away. When asked the question 'Where would be your ideal location for your wedding?' Corey answered, 'The Surreal Life.' When the question of 'How would you chose to spend your 5 year wedding anniversary?' was asked to Vanilla, he foolishly replied, 'I would beat my wife and go out with my friends.' After another 2 rounds of questions the only survivors left in the contest were Wil, Mackenzie, Judd, Jason, and Emilio.
After the second round of questions only Judd and Emilio remained. The question was to describe the most unusual date that would still be the most fun. Judd responded first by saying that he and his date would reenact the scene between him and Molly Ringwald in the closet from 'The Breakfast Club.' Brandy liked this idea but Melissa remained unimpressed. After seeing him in 'Dark Asylum' she said that her image of him had been ruined and he would have to do better than that to win her over. Emilio was stumped by this question and said the first thing that came to his mind. He said that he would take his date to Mighty Ducks reunion and introduce her to all of his old friends. He hoped to win this one on the idea of wanting to share some of his oldest friends with his date and let her into that part of his life. That aspect never crossed Brandy and Melissa's mind but they both screamed with excitement! Little did he know but the Mighty Ducks was one of their all time favorite movies. 'Hey,' Brandy said to Melissa, 'Why didn't we pick Vincent LaRusso to be on the island?' Melissa replied, 'We weren't that obsessed with him back when we selected the players.' Brandy nodded, 'So true. He was so cute.' Emilio coughed to get their attenetion and asked if he was the winner.
They declared Emilio the official winner and Gnarly prepared to head to tribal council. Before tribal council, the Corey, Judd, Mackenzie, Wil alliance approached Rider and Ben about working together to get rid of Kirk that night. Rider and Ben were still pissed about when Kirk backstabbed them when JTT got voted off so they agreed. Everyone decided it was best for the tribe to never again have to hear about Lupe and the miracles of Jesus Christ. At tribal council, Brandy and Melissa presented the boys with torches and told them that fire represents life on the island. They asked the traditional pointless questions and everyone cast their vote. Kirk had no clue that his neck was on the line and once again cast his vote for Ben, still bitter about how he said that Lupe was not cute. Everyone except for Kirk voted for him so Brandy and Melissa snubbed out his torch and he was sent home.
