He was exiled from the underwater city of Otoh Gunga because he was clumsy in front of the head of his clan. He was indebted to Qui-Gon Jinn for saving his life and them to Otoh Gunga, where they secured transport to the Naboo capital of Theed. He helped the Naboo and the Gungans forged an alliance that liberated Naboo and was alos made a general in the Gungan Grand Army. After the battle, he eventually became a Senior Representative for Naboo, serving alongside Padmé in the Galactic Senate. After several assassination attempts on Amidala forced her to flee the capital, he replaced her in the senate.
He is a multi-talented artist who provided the voice and real world reference
for the computer generated character, Jar Jar Binks. He has done commercial
and some television work, though Jar Jar was his first big screen character.
