Fallen Star, That You Are

Shooting star, across the black sky
You look so brilliant and sweet
Does it feel good to fly
Or would you rather stand on the street

When you speak your tale
And you reach across the night
Your words never fail
And you spread your shining light

If I could follow you around
Would you even let me come
Last tim e I even opened my mouth
You made my tongue go numb

Falling star of pale love
Drop down next to my soul
If you can't remain above
Then help me fill this hole

When you cry your tears
And you reveal your sorrow
Your pain makes me feel such fear
That you might kill yourself by tomorrow

If I could stop your pain
Would you love me again
Long ago, when you were stained
I decided you should be mended

Fallen star, that you are
I could still love you forever
You choose to be so far
You choose to not be together

When I say, I don't hurt
I'm lying to hide from pain
When I say, I don't hurt
It's because I feel ashamed

If I hadn't loved you so
I wouldn't feel like this
I asked if you loved me, and if you'd said no
I wouldn't feel like this

I didn't mean to love you
It was just a mistake
I didn't choose to love you
Or to put my heart at stake
