We reserve the right to reject links based on appropriateness: we have a pretty broad sense of humor ourselves but in the interests of not falling afoul of the various Powers That Be involved in running this site we may need to make some subjective judgement calls about whether your items are in fair enough taste to appear here, or indeed whether they fall within this site's purview at all. We also reserve the right to make subjective aesthetic judgements, in the belief that this will encourage a high standard of graphic design in the grassroots protest community. Your design doesn't have to be "professional", but some mimimal standards of "not frickin' hideous" will be applied.
Updates are made as and when we get around to them; querying us every ten minutes about whether or not we're going to link you is redundant as more likely than not any subsequent emails are piling up in the box alongside your initial letter -- and we're using webmail for our contact, so it's very much on a "remember-to-check" basis. At present, this site is being hand-coded by humans with pretty severe ADD, so if we haven't responded/updated for two months don't necessarily assume that we've been dragged off for re-education... although it would be mighty sweet of you to worry about us like that. ;) We're probably just putting it off because it's tedious and/or our dialup is giving us a hard time again.
A definition of our purpose is probably in order, to satisfy the various TOS Police that will be interested in our project: this site is a directory of external links to individuals producing CafePress merchandise or small generally notforprofit endeavors who have had materials printed up on their own. We are not the agents of sale of any of this stuff (even for our own designs it's CafePress handling things), so please don't give us a hard time on that account. The service that we are providing is that we will link to your CafePress item(s) or your own shop; what happens from there is your business, not ours. If you have a site that's linked off your CafePress shop, more power to you, that's the way it should work and we're just directing traffic; but we also welcome designs from people who just had a good idea or two and don't have anywhere else to get the word around. If you have any objections to being featured on this site, just email and we'll take your items off -- although personally we'd be glad of the exposure ourselves. ;) Remember, we're not trying to steal your business, we're trying to spread the word for everybody in the field, OK? Cars have big bumpers...
If you've done a lot of items, try to narrow your submission down to a couple of pieces in each category, and let us know later as you produce more. (Remember, the CafePress basic-shops sidebar has a "shopkeeper bio" thingie that can be made to lead to a list of your other shops...)
One last thing: if you haven't started yet, but we've inspired you to design for yourself, we'd appreciate it if you'd tell CafePress that "MonkeyShock" sent ya... ;)
