Also know as Gaidin. Any Healer or Magick User that is not proficient at fighting may choose to take a Warder. Some may opt to marry their Warders. This process involves using the One Power and involves the Elements of Spirit, Air and a bit of Fire. Traditionally a female will take a stromg male Warder, one she may even choose to marry. Occasionally a female will take another female as a Warder.
The techinique for binding a Warder is similar to that of healing, one places their hands on the person choosen to be the Warder and sees the hands begin glow. Chanting "Est Sularis oth Mithas" ("My Honor is my Life") the binder watches the glow completely envelope both parties involved. A 'jolt' will be felt by both as the power surges from the binder into the Warder.
The Healer or Magick User recieves the benefits of physical protection and the Warder recieves the abilities to go withour rest or nourishment for longer periods of time than normal. The Warder will also heal more quickly than he would naturally. Both parties recieve the benefit (or curse) of knowing instantly when the other has perished and often the circumstances of the death as well. Warders will be able to sense the presence of evil. Each will alwyas be able to sub-consciously 'feel' the others presence in a small corner of their minds.

Linking

Linking two or more magick users requires at least one female. She will serve as the link 'controller'. This woman must be the strongest magick user in the group. Drawing on the One Power she will take hands with the next person and feel the channel open in that person. This person will then take hands with the third person and feel the channel open in this person and so on.....A total of 13 females may link or a total of 26 magick users in all.
Linking inceases the amount of the One Power that may be wielded (obviously much more than any person could wield alone). This is required to cast very powerful spells or to use certain items (ter'angreal). This technique may also be used to block or prevent other magick users from channeling (usually requres at least 5 people depending on the strength of the magick user that is to be blocked).
