	Filippov grew up around weapons; his father was both a military man and a keen hunter. Filippov would often spend his spare time out in the Siberian wilderness hunting such game as Brown Bears and Deer. His marksmanship led his father to get him a job at his (Army) base's armory, and it soon became apparent that he had a natural gift for weaponry, and this enhanced his growing reputation.
