Vathi use to be full of ceramics workshops and fishermans. Today is a very atractive beach, very long and nice. Is the less developed village of Sifnos if you think that road, and electricity became available only few years ago. Very safe sea for the swimmers and boats with lots of rooms and hotels and restaurants. |
Few years ago the communication was only possible by boat. Now 11 kilometres of ashfalt road will guide you to Vathi. Vathi is on the few places in Sifnos that you can enjoy the sunset (not from everywhere). If you are in Sifnos at June try to visit "Taxiarhis" festival. |
