COMMENTS FROM THE AUTHOR:
This page contains a form input field with scrolling text. The
form, the input field and the scrolling are all generated by
JavaScript. However as with JavaScript-capable browser users,
non-JavaScript browser users can view the script
in the source code or save this file and view it on a texteditor
or word processor.
The script hopefully contains sufficent code comment to explain what is
neccessary to run it on your own page.
Features
- Insert any text
- Insert any length of text
- Place anywhere on the page
- Set speed of scrolling
- Set any width of scroll box
- Completely transparent to non-Javascript users
- Set any number of scroll iterations (currently set at 10)
- Users can stop and restart scrolling at anytime
Feel free to use the script in your own pages, but please leave my
credit line in the script. Please be sure to include the width and
height attibutes for all images tags (Netscape encounters difficulty
rendering a page without these attributes in all images tags, when
running Java and Javascript in certain instances).
If you want this script just choose "Save Frame As..." (in Netscape) when you have the focus on the frame.
