Santa Clara Valley Canary & Exotic Bird Club
August 14, 1983

Next Board Meeting at the home of Mary Schreiber, Aromas, CA. Friday, August 26, 7:30 P.M.

Program: Lots of bird talk - any way we want to do it. Relaxed Sunday afternoon of bird folk trading stories and tips. We may even be able to get the Fourniers to tell some Australia bird adventures if we all sit around shooting the bull (feathers) and don't make Ron feel like a speaker! Our London visitors won't arrive in time for the meeting this month but should be here in September.

Condolences to Dudley Cox on the loss of his mother. Sorry you had such a rough trip to England, Dudley!

Raffle: Mary Schreiber's name is the only one on the list for this month. Can somebody else help her?

BBQ: Those of you who didn't come missed out on a great, relaxed day of super food, lots of good talk among friendly folk, a huge raffle table loaded with goodies and we turned a profit for the treasury! Total expenses ran $425.97 and total receipts (members, guests, raffle, sales of surplus food) came to $725.05, leaving a net profit of $299.08. Gee, and to think I was so proud of us last year when we only went in the hole by about $47.00! Nice going!
