GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY: on Monday, Feb. 21, 1983 at 7 P.M. ROSEMARY LOW will give a presentation in the Skyroom at the Candlerock Longe 2600 Watt Ave., Sacramento. Her visit is sponsored by Capitol City Bird Society and Foothill Bird Fanciers and they ahve invited the rest of us to come and partake of the knowledge and experience presented that evening! $2.00 donation at the door. Don't miss it!

HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES: To John Boswell on the sudden death of his lovely wife. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, John.

REMEMBER: Pearl Davis, widow of Frank Davis and long-time active participants in the canary fancy, is not well and is now in St. Catherines Resident Rest Home in North Bend, Oregon.

BOARD MEETING: Was held Jan. 28 at the Hansels with 16 persons in attendance. The (18) questionaires that have been returned were tabulated and discussed and many suggestions for improving the show, the trophies and the finances were examined. It is not too late for the rest of you to get your forms in so we know what everyone wants. (Purely personal comment from your editor: If you won't take the trouble to give your opinion now, when decisinos have to be made, you ought not gripe if we don't do it your way come showtime!) The next Board Meeting will be held at the home of Ron Mercer, on THURSDAY, February 24, 1983. We remind you that all members are welcome at Board Meetings and nobody is EVER expected to keep his/her mouth shut!

CATALOGUE MEETING: To be held on Tuesday, February 22 at 7:30 P.M either at the school or at the Hansels. We'll know by the time of the February meeting, but set the date aside now.

Whoops! Geneva Jacobsen has been injured. I gather it is not terribly serious but is disabling. Those who live in her vicinity might call and see if she needs a helping hand.
