At the February meeting, your officers found themselves looking at a sea of new faces, at least 45 of them! That's great! New blood and fresh ideas are essential for a healthy club. If we are going to preserve the warmth and friendliness in which we have long taken pride, we are going to have to put the faces together with names as soon as possible. So, the officers have promised to remember to wear name tags. It would be super helpful if the rest of the members (especially new members) would try to wear them also ... and perhaps a notiation about the kind of bird in which you are most interested. We want to be as helpful as possible to new members ... and we sure don't want to miss out on any tips about bird breeding that they might have to offer!

The AFA 7th annual convention will be held in San Diego August 5th thru 9th. This promises to be one of the Great Conventions. If you have never attended one - this is the one you shouldn't miss! Speakers will be coming from England: George Smith & Rosemary Low. There are also well known aviculturists from Australia on the program. Trips to the Zoo and other interesting side trips make this a real vacation for the entire family. Registration before June 1st is $65.00. A Macaw will be a door prize! If you are not a member of AFA and want further information, contact me. (Nikkie).

PET FAIR
On July 11, 12, 1981 the Anaheim Convention Center will be the site of the Pet Fair sponsored by WWPSA, PIDA, and NRPGA. 10,000 square feet of space have been set aside for bird displays. Sponsoring bird clubs have reserved booths for bird displays. We have not committed ourselves to have a display. Anaheim is a long trip and not many members have shown any interest. Maybe a group may be interested in going and can carpool it. Any interest, ideas or question, please contact me.
