ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION!
Next Board Meeting AND CATALOGUE MEETING combined at Joe Gordon's home, Friday March 2, 7:30 P.M.

The meeting boxed above is THE catalog meeting of the year. So come and speak your piece or else hold your peace for another year. Divisions will be set (in concrete) at that meeting.

Dues: $18.00 per family per year. Nikkie hasn't the list ready yet because this newsletter has to come out a bit sooner than usual so one last copy will be sent from the old mailing list. This is it! If you haven't paid 'em yet, send 'em to Nikkie.

PROGRAM: It being canary breed'n season, all board members and anyone else who will be kind enough to help are asked to bring along a pair of birds and be prepared to explain why you would or would not pair them up together. This kind of practical "eyes on" demonstration is what novices really need. Wish I'd had the benefit of that kind of info during my first couple of years. Maybe I wouldn't have made so many mistakes or, at least, I'd have made different mistakes! The folks who are not into canaries will have their own discussion groups going to exchange bits of info to help with breeding problems and management of those birds.

BANDS: available from Leonard. 10 cents each in strings of 25. Remember, dues must be paid in order to use club bands.

Ed & Eleanor Souza sent along some snaps of their newly built or renovated aviaries to share with their fellow members. How about some of the rest of you taking a few shots of your set-up to share with the rest of us? Their pictures are re-produced a little bit farther along in this issue.

I just received the ad for the seed cleaner in the mail from Nutritional Research Assoc. The one I use was an English import, I paid $100 for it second hand and it has to be used outside 'cause it blows too much dust around even for the garage. Since they are willing to give a free demonstration, sounds like a very good deal. I save an awful lot of money by re-claiming seed that is just scattered around and hasn't been damp. You have to be careful that you only re-cycle good seed that hasn't been damp and no bird has had even a hint of an illness, but it is well worth the investment. I put the cockatiel mix through it too 'cause they feed from open dishes and miss a lot. Works fine.

Ad: Bertha Andrews FOR SALE: 1 pr. Lady Goulds $100.00, 3pr. Shaftails @$25.00 each bird. 30 Cockatiels, greys & Pieds range $30.00 to $45.00.

Ad: Same as above: NEEDS INFORMATION ABOUT RAISING AMAZONS. Please call and give some.
